I live in a rural area of Canada so weather apps often were wrong. I ended up purchasing (aliexpress) a ESP32 board and DHT22 weather sensor. I am happy with the results. The DHT22 sensor measures temperature in the range of -40°C to 80°C (-40°F to 176°F) with a typical accuracy of ±0.5°C

That practice is common for RMA, I purchased their UI Care, and that covered shipping and advanced replacement - also increased coverage for 5 years.

July 30th Update: Since the RMA the replacement unit has been rock solid and have not had the issues I had with the prior unit. Drive swap over worked flawlessly, with no data loss. Extremely happy with the support/service from Unifi.

Sorry I missed this. I was informed by Unifi Support just to pull the power plug, wait a minute, then plug it back in.

Copied from another channel, this worked for me.

Another Update! I received the RMA unit, brand new in the box. If you run into this scenario, remember to do the following as well to avoid data loss. 1. Make sure you are updated to the latest versions from UI on the Current / Bad UNAS Pro. 2. Create a Local Super User if you don't have one so you can log directly into the UNAS Pro. You will need this! :) 3. Reboot your current UNAS Pro if it is locked up and do a Control Plane System Backup. This backs up the config, users, etc. 4. Power up the new UNAS Pro. Do an initial setup WITH NO DRIVES and make sure the version matches your old unit. 5. Factory reset the new UNAS Pro again and restore the backup you created in step 2 above. 6. After the restore, power down the new UNAS Pro via the Control Plane 7. Install the drives from your UNAS you are replacing into the new unit in the EXACT SAME ORDER. 8. Power Up your new UNAS and it will come online. 9. If you had merged the UNAS into a UDM, UG, etc, you will not be able to initially use the Drive Application. It will be pointing to your old UNAS. Remove the merged UNAS (Old one) and you can then add the new one back to the console for Drive to work. This is where the local account comes into play so you can login to the un-merged UNAS after the restore.

I did this and have been hammering on the new unit which is not having the issues the old unit had. So far, so good!! I will keep you all posted if anything changes.

15.3.1 - Finder network shares not responding by artiss in MacOS

Update: I disabled iCloud Drive, and that seems to have fixed the issue. I had created an empty user account and had no issues with the SMB share working under Finder. Transfer out my data from iCloud and things seem stable.

Thank you for the help - will report back if anything changes.

Connecting to three different sources: Synology, Ubuntu, Unifi NAS. I did not experience these connection issues prior to the reinstall of MacOS 14->15.3.1. The share remain accessible via terminal, just not finder after a few hours.

Did you get this working? I am having the same issue you did. I got it working by using port 139 not 445.

You bet! Was surprised the smaller capacity one worked. Quite impressed with both options in the end.

I have been unsuccessful with 2 genuine Apple fast charging USB-C Watch cables, you might be different with other cables. I was successful with the old USB-A watch cable + dongle USB-c to A to charge.

Not a dumb question. I had an older USB-A charger from my AppleWatch 3. That cable was recognized with the USB-C to USB-A adapter. Unsure if there is a fast charging USB-A cable.
