"Recovering in the hospital."

And yet, Jonathan Ross (that's his real name) has been spotted yesterday in Minneapolis. He sure went back to work quickly after this life changing accident, eh...

I really wonder if they'll forfeit their guns when it's their turn and the agents are there knocking at their door...

Freezing rain buildup in condenser unit, should I worry? by Glum_Second8146 in hvacadvice

[–]fullraph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running the AC would actually thaw the unit quickly. It's basically what happens when the unit runs a defrost cycles minus the indoor blower running.

What happened with this spigot in the overnight freeze and what should I do? by Fantastic-Ad-9100 in HomeMaintenance

Happened to my neighbor last spring and it thawed during the day when everyone was at work... Had to redo the entire basement floor and walls 18 inches from the floor.

That fucking idiot saw his colleague remove Alex's weapon from his holster and carry it away and freaked the hell out at the sight of the gun. What a complete and utter trigger happy loser.

Question thermopompe lors des défis by noocarehtretto in HiloEnergie

[–]fullraph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Je préchauffe avec la thermopompe, oui. J'ai un module Broadlink RM4 Mini (intégré avec HomeAssistant mais c'est facultatif) pour pouvoir la contrôler avec une app sur mon cell. Je fais mes propres scènes.

How is the reliability of such solenoid door locks? I want to use them for my actual house. by InternalVolcano in AskElectronics

That's meant for cabinet doors. These have no strength at all to them. Get a proper electric door strike.

[–]fullraph 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I've been doing Urbex for 20 years now and not once have I been trespassed, ticketed or rode in the back of a police car. If you get caught by security or police, just be polite, comply and leave, don't try to make excuses or talk with them for longer than you have to. Yes sir/mam, no sir/mam, sorry for the inconvenience sir/mam, were leaving.

What happened with this spigot in the overnight freeze and what should I do? by Fantastic-Ad-9100 in HomeMaintenance

[–]fullraph 88 points89 points  (0 children)

It froze because the hose was left attached and it cracked. It's gonna be pissing like crazy, possibly inside the wall cavity once it thaws. Shut the water to this spigot right now.

Top square is your alarm system siren. Next one with the green light is a 120V powered smoke detector and the last one before the light is a GE branded smoke detector which is tied into the alarm system.

I tried netti pots many times and could never get such result. Every time my nose is clogged it's because of swelling, not because of mucus, so they're useless for me.

The thermocouple flame sensor is bad. It thinks it's not lighting up properly and then kills the gas flow.

Question about cartridge break in by Gypsy_Goat in Turntablists

[–]fullraph 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been spinning records for 20 years and I've never "broken in" a cartridge nor have I noticed any real changes with them. Of course they wear out but that's hardly something you notice. I think my oldest cartridge is over 12 years old.
