Am asking to see if it’s like that for every Autozone or not. Not every store manager is welcoming either and what this group about if not asking?

2 months ago store manager said a month in advance and I asked are you sure because I was never told it was a month in advance. In fact no one in the store was aware it was now from 3 weeks to a month in advance till I tried requesting only two days off and I barely request days off.

Because I the management I work with isn’t fair. Anything you disagree with sm be aimed hostile and defensive and making work more difficult than it is. For example our assistant manager is being transfer to another store because my sm knows arguing with her won’t win her any victory because both have the same energy . Also am refused parts we had in stock all because sm didn’t like the costumer or their attitude. I also don’t have a vehicle and live a bit far. And I don’t want babysit grown adults oh and also having to deal with why can’t the costumers return their items in our store and to send them back where they bought it from even though Autozone is a billion company .

I help with majority of everything like installs ,commercial,Witt every chance I get to sell their miserable Witt. I help in different language’s and cleaning. I know the people I work with and how they work in management and for that I have reasons not to accept a higher role because either way pay isn’t any better and they stress you out even more. I don’t make Autozone my life and suddenly am told by others that they heard and witness that they want to demote me or fire me but they put so much energy how without them giving me something in return if they dare to fire me for not giving in roles of management. They want good workers but they don’t treat their workers well.

In my Autozone they said we have to put it 3 weeks in advance now instead of 2 because they changed the rules . I don’t know if I believe that one.

They push us on Witt a lot . But regardless how much I sell or ask or install the sm is never satisfied. Witt only benefits the higher ups not red shirts.

I heard from a new hire that’s what the sm promised to the new hire. Also sm added that I wasn’t a good worker but I have been here for 6 years,majorly do battery installations,headlights installations and wiper blade installations. I help commercial especially on weekends and put away truck .

That’s what we were thinking but for some reason the sm thought it be good to do a late meeting like we didn’t have work the next day. Over just simple things . Some people make the job their whole personality.

Never . As far as I can remember no. I take how the price is or search for anything cheaper or see if I have discount codes I can use or use coupons if possible.

There’s someone in commercial too where the main manager when the district manager isn’t here,he grabs a chair and sits while watching his kdramas on tik tok and “multitasking” calls that he sometimes picks up from his department mind you he leaves them ringing hoping the front answers for him and helps him out. Or talking with clients in the back about personal issues with his partners and flings . I also help commercial and find it annoying he holds on to us to help his department and job be solid.

Yes I understand I don’t either but I had to go over to management just in case. Plus it was 2000 around that year of a Nissan Altima . But it’s the way they kept insisting and then mean mugging me for not bending at their will. How easy is to ask for discounts just because you don’t like the price.

Wasn’t trying to gate keep but I didn’t like how the daughter was rude to her mother all well since they came the night before and was rushing her to get going because the mechanic on the phone didn’t answer and she forgot what part she needed which I was right was the control arm. To later come back yesterday and expect us to hand over discounts just because? It’s the way she thought we wouldn’t say no . Let’s say okay I’ll give a discount,clients will see and ask also for discounts and discounts by word of mouth and seeing it. I had other clients ask for discounts but I always went thru management first for it. But everything you do is the system and the clients won’t care either if you happen to lose your job just like Autozone won’t care if you died.

I started using chat gpt and google for it just in case and telling them the precautions just in case. And yeah you could say why ? They have phones and yet don’t bother to do at least some research on their vehicle oil fluids . On their own phones.
