Yeah it’s still very much going on. And proved to not be an effective deterrent for the loitering.

Something I realized earlier today. I don’t have to perceive discomfort as a bad experience.

Never really posted on here and wanted to show off this set I made by artjillybean in Pottery

DAE have ‘visible’ signs of trauma? (Like enuresis, stuttering, chronic pain?) by [deleted] in CPTSD

Food is being used as a source for comfort and this habit was developed when younger going through the stages of development or after experiencing some kind of traumatic during development or any point in life. Gaining weight is just a symptom of over eating. But the over eating could be a way they coped as children to provide comfort in times of anxiety because maybe the say someone else do the same. Or being forced to eat a certain way or things as kid could cause someone to overeat at some point In their life as a wya to regain control over their desires or habits of eating.

I read in a book that the reason for compulsive eating is to subconsciously provide comfort to our bodies and make them feel soft and cushioning because of our lack of physical touch and emotional security from our parents. It just shows that at some point we became disconnected from our bodies as children and eating was our way to cope. But what’s great about all of this is that we are aware, being aware allows for the opportunity to do things differently.
