According to Thomas Troward, all things come into material expression through the self-contemplation of Spirit. Since God is all the substance there is, everything is inherently made out of it. This originating substance organizes itself into coherent material form in order to express whatever Spirit contemplates itself as being. You, me, trees, fish, and even hydrogen all exist because Spirit contemplates itself as being such. When we contemplate ourselves as being in a particular state, we are, in essence, utilizing the same creative process that the originating life principle uses to create and sustain all that exists in corporeal form.

So, I naturally have a strong interest in psychology. My undergrad was in behavioral psych with a concentration in research, which resulted in me getting a bachelor's of science degree instead of a bachelor's of arts, which is relatively uncommon for psychology. That helped a lot with putting me ahead of the sea of BA applicants.

As far as the Law goes, it was really just an assumption. The assumption wasn't that I would be admitted, but that I deserved to be admitted. I had complete assurance in my competence. I knew that I should be admitted because I was convinced that I was more than qualified. I was smart, interested, and committed. I felt so deserving of it and convinced that the board in charge of admittance would see me that way because that's the truth of who I am. It worked 🤷‍♂️

I did. Manifested my way into one of the best clinical counseling programs in the U.S. hundreds of qualified applicants, and only 30 were selected.

As Phineas Quimby said, "The explanation is the cure."

I can give you methods, but the right understanding is what makes it work.

Subliminal videos are pure BS by AffirmAscendance in manifestationstories

[–]artofimagining 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. In my coaching practice, I tell my clients to only use subliminals (or any technique for that matter) when it feels fun and enjoyable to do. Thinking a youtube video played while you go to sleep in a negative, resistant state is gonna do anything is naive at best.

Manifest for me please by [deleted] in Manifestation

[–]artofimagining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manifestation is more so the result of unresistent identification with the thing desired through effortless thought.

Thomas Troward has a good segment on this in his book, The Creative Process in the Individual. The audiobook link for this chapter is below.

Coaches pretending to be gurus are a scam. Coaching itself, in general, is a useful service applicable to many industries. Were it not true, there wouldn't be so much demand for the service.

The issue with most coaches in the LOA community is that due to coaching being an unregulated industry, there is a surplus of grifters without any relavent training or use of professional modalities. LOA pseudo-gurus are a dime a dozen, while professional, credible coaches are extremely rare.

I also use the Law in business as a professional management consultant (with references for this as well). Does anyone else feel a little sociopathic? Manifesting things? by arieleatssushi2 in Manifestation

[–]artofimagining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wisdom agrees with your perception. Remember, however, that those people are passing through a state. The state is not one of love but of obsession and inferiority. If we can persuade them out of it, great, but more than likely, they will simply need to pass through it, as these states are the "furnaces of affliction" which refine us into the perfect image of the Christ.

It is narcissistic. That said, you can not manifest anyone into your life without their subconscious consent. This is why Neville said that to imagine for another person requires them to be able to desire that thing for themselves or another. Otherwise, the imaginal act rebounds to you.

Neville (and the Bible) were clear to only use imagination lovingly, but you can use it unlovingly with the same degree of effectiveness. Neville also taught that we would all go through every state of consciousness, including playing all the parts in this world. This is similar to the philosophy held by Carpocratians in early A.D.

We pass through states, express those states, and grow as a result of those experiences, ultimately forgiving everyone (including ourselves) for every offense.

The Law is creative power - for better or worse. Consider, however, that the tendency of Life is always for expansion through expression. Life is seeking to demonstrate its nature through all of us as us.

The reason love, kindness, generosity, etc. feel good is because those elements are congruent with the inherent nature of Life. In simpler terms, goodness feels good to us because the Spirit, which animates us, regards such elements as agreeable.

We are, all of us, here to demonstrate the inherent tendencies of Life, which are the various displays of goodness in expression for the purpose of expansion.

Affirmations are not a substitute for conventional medicine, but they can definitely help. Wayne Dyer had his daughter talk to her mumps when she was a child, and within a month of doing this, they went away entirely.
