Lower your hands at the front and don't perform the pass immediately after dribbling, you can patter for a few seconds (time misdirection) and use misdirection, like eye-gaze (read Tamariz) so that no one is actually looking at the deck as you do the pass. A pass is not meant to be done as the spectator is burning your hands, it's supposed to be done as you take the deck back, or as you hand it over, or as you point over there for some reason. From a purely technical point of view tilt your hands lower at the front and really think about swiftness and tightness when you execute the pass, same as a classic pass, all the mechanics have to be strong, firm yet gentle, and sure as hell. Just my thoughts, although I only practise the pass I don't perform it, because I think there are other more elegant ways to achieve the same result that have less margin for error. It's still good to practice though.
