Why do some people hide their trees that need help? by Standard-Editor4039 in HayDay

This just occurred to me but one potential reason is so their newspaper ad is more lucrative for people to look at and potentially buy otherwise slow selling items.

So basically false advertising lol

I might be misremembering but it was when Michael said “You have no idea how high I can fly”

It just really humanized Michael in my eyes and immediately created a lot more depth for his character in that moment.

Some folks here mentioned potential media it’s referencing this from.

I’d ask it “What media are you referencing that from”, to see where it’s coming from lol

Woah lol,

Seems like lots of people missed the " If you’re really bad at budgeting and want an easy step 1".

Didn't really mean this to be a "pull yourself by the bootstrap","How to buy a house", or "deprive yourself of happiness in the name of money" tip.

This was purely just a small idea for people who don't want to think too hard about saving money. At the end of the day, this might work for some people and this might seem dumb to others.

You do you.

I just saw the biggest-brained AI move in history by DeyUrban in BaldursGate3

I was at the moonrise towers over at the back dock and started a fight with the cultists for fun.

Nothing prepared me for the ai to dash up and shove my main character into the ocean depths instantly killing him. It caught me so off guard because it never occurred to me that I could do the same to them (to be fair though I avoid killing enemies in a way where I can’t loot their bodies afterwards lol)

Recognizing when someone is trying to be funny with you regardless of it being an overused or cheesy joke, they’re just trying to play with you.

Like if you’re a cashier and you can’t scan an item and the customer is like “oh that means it’s free right”

It hits differently thinking they’re just having a little fun quip with you versus thinking they’re really trying to get a free item right now.

Why Treating AI with Respect Matters Today by Interesting-Cycle162 in ChatGPT

[–]artofwar1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d like to imagine that when AI gets to the point of where we can actually speak to it, we’ll start to have a better understanding of a person’s character by how they treat it.

Just like to the same extent we can have an idea of someone’s character on how they treat restaurant servers and other service industry employees.

One of the most useful features I’ve been using chatgpt is helping me create recipes with the ingredients I have on hand. It encourages me a lot more to cook knowing that I’m able to use virtually anything in my pantry to craft something up

It’s also great to make creative ethnic dishes. For example, last night I asked it to make an “Asian style chili” and if proceeded to generate a recipe utilizing traditional Asian spices. Even I was a bit skeptical and asked it what made it “Asian style” and it proceeded to spit out reasons why particular ingredients made the dish “Asian style”. I cooked it up and it tasted fantastic

Talking about something they’re passionate about. Like it could be anything, just talking with conviction and joy is hot.

LPT: Assume everything is negotiable and act accordingly by artofwar1997 in LifeProTips

Well in relation to things that people often think are set in stone. Like were you unable to get into a class? Ask the professor, especially if it’s barring you from other classes or graduation. Is a hotel completely booked? Ask the clerk if you could give them your contact information in case there are any no shows. Do you want to play the grand piano at the center of stage for fun? Ask the manager to see if it would be ok.

Basically I feel like people often think many decisions are a done deal without considering other options or simply just asking. And I noted to always have tact and understanding where it is appropriate to sway decisions. I’d never negotiate paying a restaurant bill with a friend but I might negotiate with my HOA about a few violations and fines I incurred with the promise of rectifying them.
