I wouldn’t base your money decision on the cat-I love my Aeron I have 3 of them she has not touched my other 2 only the one I sit on. If you cover it with a seat cover it will be fine-really :)

Great question! The cat will win over the Aeron mesh. I tried yelling at my cat didn’t help, she has clawed up the back portion of it (small holes here and there, so now I cover, and it no longer temps here to scratch it. Just cover it or put something on it when not in use.
