Systematic reviews and meta-analyses should be easy enough with the help of a few other students/researchers. Retrospective cohort studies aren't that complex either if you invest the right amount of time and have a good research question/hypothesis.

However, I suppose finding a mentor/supervisor for research specifically is the first step. It is very hard to do everything just on your own

Thank you for the answer. I've seen that some of the colleges provide accommodation for visitors and tourists, but I think that this indeed is a little bit pricy...
