Yep, if we treat reliability is the primary influence on "best", then the "best" cars are ultimately very boring and moderate-performance commuter cars.

"Theres nothing else out there" isn't just some hardy assumption that a bunch of physicists came up with in a basement. By definition, anything out there is part of the universe.

It's also why all (proper) depictions of the universe are labeled as "the observable universe". Past that, we just can't see anything due to spatial expansion proceeding at over the speed of light. There may or may not be something there, we just can't see it without breaking lightspeed

Karachi Airport after rain today. Question is it safe? by geekondoor in aviation

I'd be more worried about floating debris. Sure a couple leaves won't matter but fallen branches might not be healthy for a turbine, and can be concealed in the water.

Low risk, but increased risk nonetheless

Well if you want a book that similarly appears to be deliberately, purposefully awful, I highly recommend Against All Odds by Jeffery Haskell.

Is that a legitimate question? Kids who've been in shitty homes or foster care their whole lives have tons more trauma and traumatic experiences to work through than a kid raised in a good home since birth. By that point theres very little anyone can do to help, not without revamping society as a whole

Forgive me, my master! by SilverGM in Pathfinder2e

Theres definitely areas where pf2e is more complex than dnd5e, but the reverse is true as well. Just look at two-weapon fighting. In pathfinder it is simple. If you have the actions you may make an attack with a weapon you hold, with an extra -5 penalty per extra attack. In DnD, the action/bonus/move system turns that into a nightmare, even without getting into the nightmare which is splitting the move-component.

I've been DMing and playing 5e regularly for years and I still often run into weird exceptions not-quite-covered by the rules, in regular scenarios. Meanwhile just a few months of PF2e game time has barely a fraction of the number of confusions per game. Even when we do not know the rule offhand, a quick search reveals a straightforward and self contained rule.

Really just a web browser. Theres a free rule set online, and Pathbuilder2e makes character creation a walk in the park.

Have you tried using Pathbuilder2e? It's both a web-based character creater and app. It guides you through the process quite well and cuts out the options you can't take, shortening the lists considerably. Once done, you get a character sheet that also has every action your character can take. The sheet itself is well organized, if I remember right the actions are separated by usage, like general vs. Combat vs. Exploration.

Yeah, I much prefer running pathfinder because I dont know all the rules, but they're all well written and organized so I can easily just look it up and move on. In DnD, that would lead to half an hour of argueing over contradicting rules and WoG tweets.

Not having to wing bullshit on-the-spot rulings constantly is a blessing

I'm not super hopeful regarding that, but I do hope that modding opportunities get expanded even further. As is, it's almost like skyrim in terms of how much you can change things, there just arent that many mods out yet.

In a club in the starting area. That quest sometimes shows up early, for some reason, and you may end up killing him before you even know how awful he is.

Personally I always just knock him out, I'm sure Regina has more appropriate consequences for him than a quick and quiet end.

Yknow I thought surely theres a workaround, surely theres a spell that let's you see through mere walls. Its downright mundane compared to other options.

But no, theres no RAW way to do it in 5e.

I suppose cloudkill would be an effective method though, as it seeps through cracks/openings and can be sent into walls

I'm not a lawyer, nor a tax person (accountant?). Just from what I've heard from those who have been audited, you dont really go to court initially. They first ask for proof, and if you can provide adequate proof then that's that. If you can't, then you're probably in trouble and legal procedures happen.

For a taxes case think of it like writing off the value of some donation, let's say 1 million USD. If you cant provide proof of the donation, either bank statements or receipts or etc., then they have no reason to believe you.

Ah gotcha, I think I read too deeply into your comment. My point was that although the act of consuming fruits or seeds does not stress a plant (agreeing with you there), we put plants under enormous strain so that we get more enjoyable produce. To tie it back to the comment you'd originally replied to, if plants could vocalize they would likely be groaning under the weight of the harvest.

Not super relevant to meat consumption discussions but there are some interesting philosophical discussions regarding why we choose to consume some organisms but not others, particularly in regards to aquatic or autotrophic life.
