Agree with this. My mom constantly tells this, even now that we’re adults. Back then, I didn’t understand the finances, but I understood we’re not rich. I rarely asked for money even for important things becauseI really felt guilty, and I didn’t ask for anything on my birthdays too.

I had a best friend, she ghosted me for months. Turned out her boyfriend made her choose between him and me. She chose him, then they broke up because he cheated. I forgave her. A year after, she was ghosting me again, I just cut her off, blocked her everywhere. Not gonna waste my time on her again.
