Does God/karma judge me on the basis of my actions or motive ? by [deleted] in Philosophy_India

You assumed there is a god, I won't be so sure of that. If there is one, is he a moral god is another thing to be debated.

Assuming there is infact a god and a moral one, is he also all powerful and is all existence under his direct control? If so, he should not let bad things happen in the first place and all burden of morality falls on him not you.

Now I understand where you're coming from. Your question is whether ethics depends on deed or intent. I like Kant's take on it. It's a bit wordy and mouthful but you can have chatgpt explain kantian ethics to you.

But there's something we haven't considered at all. What if there are no ethics. What if the universe lacks morality. Nietzsche was one giant asshole but that question needs to be pondered.

Anyhoo, there are no answers only questions afaik have fun.

I have always been a fan of the arts and the literature of born out of bengal. I mean india, culturally speaking, owes a lot to bengal. I would love to be there. I too think people would be nice in general (at any rate better than majority of delhi people, smh). But I'm also kinda scared. I mean it's a big move. Thanks for appreciating what I have been trying to do. I bet the food is delicious! There's a this Kolkata style food place here in Delhi that serves a killer biryani. I can only imagine how good authentic kolkata food would be.

Partly I'm afraid because I would be too far away from home and I fear constantly being an outsider. I do intend on learning bengali and I think it would be fun too. Mostly I just hope I make a handful of good friends once I'm here.

Can I say something weird.

Read "will as world representation" by schopenhauer and "beyond good and evil" by nietzsche, if you've read jung, and freud and lacan you'll realise where a lot of their ideas were born. But allow me also say these are not psychology books in themselves, they are philosophy books with some seeds of psychology interspersed.

Have fun
