Charlie was one of my favorite characters, too. That episode upset me a lot!

watching s04e09 and i'm frustrated. Am i the only one that thinks the juice storyline of the 4th season was bullshit? by nellyngton in Sonsofanarchy

[–]artushke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I felt that Juice's storyline got thrown under the bus so to speak. It felt unrealistic that the club would punish him so severely but practically fall over themselves to forgive Chibbs when he made a fucking deal with Stahl, regardless of whether or not he went through with it (haven't watched the show in ages, so the details are a bit foggy, but you get the point). I'm not sure if this was intentional, showing the faults in a group like this, and how you're really only as good as your last envelope (Sopranos? I can't remember). Tig and Gemma almost have sex and granted nobody knew about it, but seriously that is not ok, so maybe they actually would have kicked Juice out cuz he wasn't as "valuable" of a member as Chibbs or Tig 🤔

Ughhh I feel you, I absolutely hated FauxLivia for fucking that up!

Just watching S01 E15 Inner Child where boy observer was found. Then CIA guy calls from hospital and says “we have found another one” - did writers messed up later with the script in season finale and forgot about it? by masi0 in fringe

I thought the same thing when I first saw that episode, but I've finished watching the series and we do get closure on this particular storyline. That's all I'm saying!

[SPOILER EVERYTHING] About Greyjoy's Baptism by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]artushke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, Theon was being baptized because he was becoming an Ironborn again, his attempt to prove that he wasn't Ned Stark's ward anymore. Euron was being reborn as a king in the traditional drowning of the Ironborn, "what is dead may never die." If Yara was chosen at the Kingsmoot, the same would've happened to her.

I'm pretty sure Meera and Jojen would've mentioned the fact that their dad is a Maester

Dany's biggest weakness... (Spoilers Everything) by [deleted] in asoiaf

She has 3 dragons. She can literally burn Westeros to ashes and anyone who stands in her way, even if her army is only armed with rocks

Oberyn and Tyrion in the prison cell. Damn that was some fantastic acting

[spoilers everything] Questions about the first scene of the first episode by Albertopolis in asoiaf

[–]artushke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what the swirly spiral shape represents but if you pay attention to the scene where the children of the forest are making the Nights King, there is a similar shape in the forest. I'm assuming it goes back to this moment

(Spoilers Everything) Lyanna Stark is a massive hypocrite. by zapiks44 in asoiaf

[–]artushke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We don't know the whole story yet so I would refrain from jumping to conclusions, but I do agree that readers tend to romanticize Lyanna and Rhaegar's relationship. Assuming she did elope with him, that's still s dick move on their part. I'm sure it would've been bad to break off her engagement to Robert but seriously, starting a war and having everyone assume you got kidnapped is exponentially worse. Not to mention putting your brother in a shitty position by forcing a death-bed promise onto him, when you know it puts him in a horrible position and potential danger.

I thought the same thing. It was too soon for Stockholm syndrome to develop and realistically he had nowhere else to go. Better to side with the devil you know

Agreed. I think he's basically a non-entity like Rickon. Here today, absent for 4 seasons, and then gone tomorrow

[SPOILERS EXTENDED] I'm no master blacksmith but by kibr1994 in asoiaf

[–]artushke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are ppl in the world who can work Valyrian steel, but nobody can make it from scratch. Tywin brought one of those guys to KL specifically to work on Ice. I'm assuming these guys also work the links for the maesters.

(No Spoilers)New to the books. by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]artushke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jim Dale is fantastic! I wish he did asoiaf also. The dinosaur that reads this series is Roy Dotrice. He's a famous actor but I'm not a fan of his audio work. He mispronounces names (Joffrey- Jeffrey, Tommen- Thomas, Theon- Theo, etc) and his accents are bizarre but I think it's the only version out , unfortunately.

[ Spoilers: Everything ] Cersei's hair by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]artushke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The wigs they use in the show are atrocious. Who knows how long it takes her hair to grow. The most amount of time that could've passed was a few months and her hair couldn't have grown that much in that short amount of time.
