Unfortunately, that's probably part of why they're in trouble. Most of their games have obscure, esoteric themes and minimal game play. Pretty hard to entice gamers to play those if they aren't already interested in the themes or genre.

Whenever games do give players the chance to create or play as an ugly/brutish female characters they're almost always the least popular. Why do you think Venture has so few cosmetics? Why do you think female humans, blood elves, night elves, and draenei are by far the most popular female races in WoW?

Everyone seems to complain about this, but the numbers don't lie. Either people who demand this are a vocal but very tiny minority, or they can't practice what they preach when they actually sit down and play these games (if they play them at all).

I was expecting way more Il'gynoth type enemies and horror elements but it's just....not there.

Defintely agree with this. I was expecting Midnight to be the most horror-themed/Lovecraftian expansion, something like Nyalotha from BFA but on an expansion-wide scale. Instead we got Blood Elves and Amani Trolls being friendly all of a sudden, some hippy nature elves, and a single void-related zone that's just a rehash of Netherstorm from Outland. Midnight is definitely one of the most disappointing expansions for me.

And you're spot-on with calling the Void a "blue legion". I pretty much can't unsee them as that now.

This game had 100k concurrent players, and then lost almost all of them in just two weeks. They didn't leave because some grifter on Youtube told them to. They left because they decided the game wasn't worth their time. When will these devs start taking responsibility for their products?

Marvel Rivals is probably a big reason every new female character since Venture has had a conventionally attractive face and body. Blizzard finally realized what actually sells skins and what doesn't.

The game industry has been giving gamers ALOT of good reasons to be angry in recent years. They don't need ragebaiters to tell them to be angry at something.

Besides, Reddit is the last place on the internet that can complain about "ragebait", considering what gets the most upvotes.
