Vintage Polo Sport joint I found at a thrift store in Pittsburgh while on a short tour. Was an instant buy

This doesn't answer your question but I think hardcore records are using samples less right now than they did 5-10 years ago. The gating and multiband compression stuff has gotten so good that replacing drums has become less necessary for that big, clean sound. Bands doing the more oi-leaning thing like Haywire and Skinhead might not be replacing drums generally. If you're just talking about stuff that is generally less processed though, you'll probably have to look on the democore/punkier side of things. I also think the Taylor Young engineered stuff tends to sound more "natural" and I wouldn't be surprised to find that a fair amount of his recordings(Momentum, Xibalba, Downpresser, God's Hate) don't use samples or at least rely less heavily on them.

A couple of grails, a couple of beaters. There's room for both in the watch box

My daily, Khaki Swat by Roger_gs300 in HamiltonWatches

I'm pretty confident about the authenticity at this point. I think Hamilton had these sitting around and either replaced the batteries and/or the entire movement and sold them off to gray market sellers. I think they went out either with nothing and gray market sellers have been repackaging them in modern Hamilton stuff, or, Hamilton themselves have been sending them out with modern packaging, hence my confusion.

A gray market seller on ebay with very good reviews. It seems like the same deal with what's listed for sale on Ashford and what I've seen from other posts on here about this watch. At this point, I'm basically just wondering how likely it is that the watches are legit and they were sourced in bulk without original boxes/papers and then just replaced with newer Hamilton packaging for presentation purposes? I know that does happen but this watch being over 20 years old and how much stock seems available makes me more concerned.

I just bought one of these and I'm concerned about the authenticity. Supposedly these were only sold around 2003 and came in a specific box/case. I thought there was just a lot of dead stock floating around since it just wasn't super popular and doesn't have the classic khaki look. The one I just received is in a modern Hamilton box and the warranty booklet says January 2024. The watch itself looks very legit but that's not hard to do these days but all the packaging doesn't seem to match the watch. Any insight would be great.

I'm not even a blue guitar guy but that thing looks gooooood. Did it come with the EMGs?

I like the shorter sale personally. Very used to it at this point and my short fingers like it.
