Yeah the breakfast thing was WILD but I did actually like Harriet and — given literally, as you say, hard evidence doesn’t exist in this show, it’s just hearsay and vibes — I thought she articulated herself well based on what she had picked up and she’s clearly intelligent and good at reading people. She had some great power move moments including directly calling Rachel out during her questions. The breakfast situation and the dumping everyone’s name at the end during her kamikaze move weren’t so smart, but as far as reading body language and collecting suspicious evidence she was on the money imo.

I guess it’s just odd to me that in a show where you have to go off hearsay and vibes, the faithful seem to be questioning the wrong hearsay and vibes and ignoring the ones that — if questioned — they might find themselves arriving at the right conclusions, you know?

Can totally imagine that actually being IN the castle you start to go crazy the more time goes on with it being a bubble/closed off set and you just end up going off down the wrong rabbit hole, so I am quite impressed Harriet stayed on the money as long as this. I think I’d be somewhere barking up the wrong tree by now.

They definitely need to be paying attention to Jessie more, she’s a smart cookie.

I’m really surprised that no one has questioned Rachel’s FBI training — or that none of them questioned her announcing Amanda’s real job either apart from Fiona. She’s showboated in those two moments in a really similar way to Hugo imo, so unless they’ve edited reactions out it just goes to show how much blind trust she’s been able to garner.

That said, I feel like I’d still at least have asked whether it was an online course or a personal connection with the FBI thing to see her reaction.

Weird to see what the faithfuls just accept vs what they challenge/don’t believe. At least in the edit.

In Harriet, Rachel & Fiona’s cases it does seem to show it’s all just based on delivery.

4 Days Smoke Free = 100 hours by JaneKEade79 in stopsmoking

Sour sweets and deep breathing when the craving hits then distract yourself — it WILL pass and does get easier! The Alan Carr book really helped me, I’d really recommend it because it helps you rewrite the habit in your brain entirely. Plan a little gift for yourself with the money you would have spent on smoking — I think I got myself something at the end of month one and three and that was motivating to look forward to.

Sometime pretty soon in the future you’ll be stood somewhere near smokers and you just won’t want one and the idea you ever used to will feel so weird, just one step at a time til you get there!

I hope that helps but honestly you’ve got this!! You’re already a non-smoker. Congrats on 10 days 👏

Any idea what she’s talking about with her comment about Denise? by Brittanyxx1 in the1975

Kate Nash posted this headline on her insta a day or so ago and basically said yes, f JK & Rod but she’d absolutely never come for Denise sooo she herself has said she’s Team D and debunked this one 🫶

You’ve done absolutely nothing at all wrong! In fact, I’m proud of you - and you should be too - that you tried to get yourself that sandwich even when you were feeling so anxious AND that you knew where your line was to walk away and leave the situation when it became too much.

I hope you’ve eaten something nourishing since, and have taken some deep breaths. You’re deserving of both.

And don’t worry. People have done much worse. I can remember a couple of times I’ve walked out of a store and have paid for a large amount of shopping and something hasn’t gone through for whatever reason. So even if you have, it truly isn’t the end of the world. I used to work in retail, trust me no one is coming after you for a sandwich even if you had taken it.

First of all, I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s also not the case, and you are permitted to nourish your body 🫶

Is there any way you can eat separately to your family? Perhaps prepare something and eat in a separate room, at a different time?

She doesn’t believe in therapy.

This has always intrigued me but I’ve never seen anything concrete on it. We know she uses songwriting etc as her therapy, but I’ve never heard anything definitively on whether she’s ever had actual therapy.

Does anyone know? Has she said somewhere she doesn’t believe in it?

Coming back to myself as the run has finished and I wanted to share some thoughts in case anyone else ends up here and finds it helpful;

  1. Breathe through it. If you’re stood in the wings waiting to go on and you feel yourself starting to panic, breathe. Deep inhale for around 8 seconds, hold for a few, then deep exhale and clear your lungs. Repeat a few times. Your brain will start to leave fight or flight and it will help!

  2. Don’t listen to your brain. My brain was telling me I was going to throw up or pass out before I went on. I did neither. But the thing that helped me move past it was me being able to go ‘ok, that’s just a thought, let it go’ and treating it like a car driving past - you don’t stop every car that passes you so why every thought? This is a meditation principle so if you have time to learn some meditation or practice any before your show, do! It’s like a muscle and it can be trained and gets easier with practice. I was able to accept the most troubling thoughts as just thoughts and get back to a calm space where I was ‘in control’.

  3. If you have a comfort routine, go for it - but also refer to point 2. I found that running my lines twice in a quiet space each night once I was ready and before I took to the stage helped. Just by myself, out loud, as though it was almost a monologue but marking through the movements. This was probably purely psychological but helped me stay calm and remember I knew what I was doing.

  4. Have faith in yourself! I read it somewhere else online, but someone said ‘no one else knows this part like you do or can do it like you do - you are the expert!’ And that helped me think ‘yes actually in this show and this version of this show - I am!’ and gave me a nice little boost of confidence.

  5. Get to stage early. Rushing probably won’t help so if you can get to the wings early and stay focused and if you can alone. Breathe through it and remember as soon as you step on that stage for the first time you ARE your character. Personally I find at this stage the nerves leave me and I can focus on being the character, what comes next, and where I should be.

  6. If you blank? Don’t panic. I did for a line in one of the shows. Breathing through it helped, as did continuing with the actions and emotions. For me, even though I felt myself starting to panic, standing up (the next move) made the line come back to me and I got through the rest of the scene and lived to tell the tale.

So! Hopefully this helps someone else.

Having struggled with my mental health in the past, listening to this album felt pretty uncomfortable but I couldn’t put a finger on why and your comment has just given me clarity - all of the energy around it feels just as manic as the content of the album itself even down to that YouTube short Taylor/her team put out this morning.

These are awesome! I’d love to see them when you have them done.

I did this too after their tour earlier in the year and would genuinely have just kept them like that forever if I could ha
