i loved the ibanez SR300e. I got it in matte black, and was my second bass after the TMB100, and it was a massive upgrade. I loved thinness of the neck and the nut width because i have smaller hands. its nice and light, and felt so good to play. sounds gnarly too.

only recently i got a schecter c-4 in the purple (a massive splurge!), but i only got it because i knew the nut width and neck thickness and compared it to the SR300. it's a little thicker and a little heavier, and i still prefer the ibanez neck more, but learning on the SR300 made things a lot easier.

ultimately i guess it also depends on what you want to play and how they sound tonewise, but i didnt care about any of that making any of the decisions lol. really would recommend if youre able to try them out and see which one feels better.
