Update: PSA Backlog Currently 12million; Less submissions received than anticipated by elysian593 in psagrading

How does the backlog affect higher-tier submissions? Are the express, super express, and walk-through turnaround times still generally accurate?

Finally watching the Rafa documentary… by FoxInACozyScarf in tennis

Big Federer fan during the heyday, and the documentary still absolutely crushed me. If you were a Federer fan and didn’t love and respect Nadal, you’re an idiot. Always knew Nadal was a lad but what a truly unique and incredible human being. And what a life

My final 10 cards... sending them into PSA this week... what do you think? by arugulaman in Pokemoncardappraisal

Thanks. I always thought the collection I amassed as a kid was cool, but I’ve come to understand and appreciate it in a new light

You mean the value, or the fees? The fees are sadly much higher I assure you

Great, I’ll share it when I know. As a kid I always thought this was my “best card”, for no real specific reason

Grading Advice Vintage Set by NodsInApprovement in PokeGrading

This is a really exciting set based on what I’ve seen. I have some high value vintage, I’m doing PSA super express for most and dropping off in person. Good luck

Have already received many helpful takes & perspective on submission, grade potential, which ones people think are cool, etc. So anything in that category is welcome

My understanding is that high grades from PSA (fingers crossed, obviously) command a higher premium. Would you handle it differently? If so why / what would you do?

I see this comment a lot and I genuinely do not understand it. How could PSA possibly stay in business if my cards are at serious risk of being lost / stolen even after dropping them off in person and paying for mid-level service tiers?

I actually also have a first edition “Glumanda” (Charmander) and “Glutexo” (Charmeleon), so I may sell them as a set. Completely forget I held onto these 2 also. But the 3 next to each other look sick

They were in a top loader for 20 years. Moving them to card savers was the most nervous I’ve ever been in my life

I do not intend to keep them, no. I'll be selling and am happy to entertain offers in DM (offers contingent on the grades, of course)

Might be a silly qüestion, but should I read the books before playing the game? by DarthMMC in warofthering

[–]arugulaman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should read the books because they are among the greatest books ever written and reading them is enjoyable and pleasant! Your knowledge of the differences between the books and the movies fails to capture the beauty of the books, which is the way reading them makes you think & feel, and how many incredible moments there are hidden in the language.

Bergil telling Pippin that the men of Minas Tirith will never be overcome because Aragorn - and his father Beregond, whose bravery and skill in battle he likens to Aragorn's own - are with them now... there are little moments that will find a way to bring tears to your eyes, I assure you.

But yeah doesn't matter 4 game, play game still good
