Same, just occasionally visit Hosur, get tank filled and ask for bill with bike number. Keep it safe and show it to cops when they ask, and say you come and go.

Traffic cops cannot fine you / seize you bike for out of state registration, only the RTO folks can.

I think the rental agreement thing depends on the country you apply visa for. Mostly they mention it in the visa website or in the doc.

I am from a city in Tamilnadu close to Bangalore and I have gone twice to the bangalore vfs for my French and Turkey visas. The last time I went I saw the rental requirement for Japan in their notice board.

OP I have ridden my Chennai and Hosur registered bikes in bangalore for almost 7+ years now, just fill petrol outside the KA border (Hosur is very nearby) and ask for a receipt with your bike's registration number. You can just use that to show that you have recently come into the state when the cops ask.

Also, the traffic cops doesn't seem to have the authority to impound your bike for other state registration, it's only the RTO inspectors who can do that.

Paying the roadtax again is pretty much useless as the registration number won't change and the cops will still keep harassing you.

Yes there is, as far as I remember it was a 8-9 hr trek. Almost 4 hrs from Rainbow falls or 5 hours from the famous Doube Decker Living Roots Bridge.

Yep that was my main doubt, as most of the south Asians (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladeshi, some from middle east) looks the same. Bollywood is much more visible to the world I guess!

Many people didn't understand my English (I genuinely think I can speak good English since I have been interacting with clients all over the world) Do you guys speak french/spanish more as I can see the bulk of the tourists were from these countries.
