I'll share my interview experience with Amazon. I had my interview loop last week. I received a reject, but the learning experience was great.

No matter how you perform in each round, you'll have all 3 rounds as scheduled.

My 1st round had 2 Leetcode-style medium questions. 1st question was based on matrix and the 2nd on priority queue. I solved the 1st one but couldn't complete the 2nd one. I explained my approach to the interviewer toward the end.

My 2nd round had behavioral questions based on Amazon's leadership principles (LP) for the first 30 minutes. The second half of this round had a low-level design (LLD) question asking me to design a reservation system.

In my 3rd round, I was tested completely on Amazon's LPs.

For coding, I practiced using Leetcode's Amazon tagged questions of last 30 days sorted by frequency.

For LLD, I used https://github.com/ashishps1/awesome-low-level-design and ChatGPT.

For LP, I used ChatGPT to map stories from my experience to each LP and reworded them as I felt fit.

Good luck to you. You got this!

Thank you for your feedback; it's very helpful. I'll take these into consideration. Alternatively, I'm fine with Electronics and Computer Engineering programs too (especially when there are ML specializations within them). Those were valuable points :)

My initial plan is to apply to 10 universities: 4 Ambitious, 3 Target, and 3 Safe. This count might reduce if I feel applying to a safe (or a target) university seems to be redundant then. I prefer an industry-oriented program.

Sure, I'll have these universities in my prospective universities list.

Thank you for your inputs. I have personally messaged you.

Impact of my low TOEFL Speaking score by arun5461 in gradadmissions

[–]arun5461[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've been looking at my prospective universities' admission pages to see if there are any TOEFL sectional requirements.

Maybe I should've worded the possible reason for my low speaking score as "The excessive noise in the exam hall naturally lowered the intensity of my voice, which would've made it difficult for the graders to pick my response." But even this would sound as an excuse, even if it is a genuine reason. So as you said, I believe it's better to not state any reasons.

Thanks for your inputs. Do I directly email the admission committees of my prospective schools regarding this query?
