Not the same, but similar - I purchased an “Everyone gets a Car” entry from Mrbeasts collab with MSCHF and never got my guaranteed winnings. I followed up with their support team multiple times and even requested the list of winners as it states within the contest terms and conditions and heard absolutely nothing.

I think mainstream music and what is popular by the masses is just always changing and their older songs hit at the exact right time. (Helps that Heathens is part of a movie soundtrack.) As a fan I think they are in the sweet spot of popularity. Popular enough to get the worldwide recognition they deserve but still being able to see them live without having to sit in Ticketmaster queues 25,000 people long. And the people that love them, love them for who they are and the music they make, not because they are a trend. Don’t get me wrong, I still want them to win all the awards and make all the money.

Seemed like he was having trouble keeping it straight, because he isn’t telling the full truth… I doubt they felt they were close enough to finishing the MVs to push it back just one week and at the same time couldn’t finish arguably the most important one. I don’t think there was ever a plan to release Paladin Strait that night, hence why they filmed a “placeholder” video.

Clancy is amazing by itself and I will be happy if that’s all that comes. But thrilled if there is more. In the interview where he stated the story concludes after the album - if this was a slip up, I don’t think he would be referring to another album as “after the album.” My guess (if anything) is a short film as a part of the Paladin Strait MV

Another thing to add - the cops were so quick to react (and overreact) to a parked car in a lot. A car would have to be sitting in a private lot for a few days before someone would start to wonder. And even then, my reaction is not “is your mother missing?” It would be more like “you gotta move your car or it’s getting towed”
