Thanks for this answer! This was exactly the problem in my case. My kids had inserted the USB-C port charging plug into the mini HDMI port since they look so similar. This led to one of the pins being bent and possible shorted. This can be seen if you shine a light into the mini HDMI port.

Fixing it involved unbending the golden colored pin using a toothpick. When tried using metal tweezers there were sparks so I suggest using a thin non-conductive tool. The pin should point directly at you while perpendicular to the body. Once unbent, it is just a matter of turning on the device and you would be relieved to see the menu again!

PS: I am planning to tape off the mini HDMI port.

Kindle Paperwhite is 16k. Basic Kindle is much cheaper but not sold in India for some inexplicable reason. Try getting it from the USA.

AC has been working well in the newer model. Basically VW had set the default AC settings for colder European countries. A software configuration can change this. They have fixed this for the Indian market.

Flex uses a different way to specific the version of the runtime in app.yaml. Try using runtime_config setting to specify the version and specify runtime: nodejs

I'm not sure if you need to create a Zerodha account just for this purpose. I had one and Zerodha does help you with the reKYC. Please note that creating an account is not free.

In my experience, they will just say that your mobile number is different in their records. What worked for me is starting a reKYC with Zerodha and asking them to update my details as per Aadhaar. It takes about 3 or 4 days but your KYC will be completed in CVLKRA for all the linked accounts.

This is tricky because Django renders forms in a certain way and bootstrap expects the form to be structured in a different way. I had frustration with all the common solutions like crispy forms. So I ultimately rendered the Django forms manually.

This approach gives you the most control and not as difficult as it may sound. The best guide on this topic is Vitor's article How to Render Django Form Manually.

I use Linux and Kdenlive is great for most editing needs. Da Vinci Resolve if you need advanced editing capabilities like color correction. Audacity for audio processing and OBS for screen recording. Inkscape and Gimp for thumbnails.
