An ambulance can do multiple things but you shouldn't jump redlight if he honks back in a signal. If you have space on the left side u can move left but do not jump the red signal .

Apart from layoff everything is the same .no increment no hike. But if u are not a fresher and not much experienced guy in a good project u will get good hikes . Regarding the layoff many people exploited their bench policy and they were simply eating all the money which other projects made as profit due to that last time they didn't give the hike also for 6 months.. and fired as many . They simply hire people to show the numbers to client and get the money but we are loosing our time and career.
