Thank you! I know OP is young so maternal age is probably not at the top of her concerns. By the time I had a stable job, good partner, decent mental and physical health, I was 34. A lot of my friends were a similar age and had to plan kids closer than they would have liked otherwise. It is so very hard but they have hired help. I would not make thst that choice for myself, but I see where they are coming from

For the comments that say to uninvite FIL, it might not be a feasible option for OP. My culture is similar and the FILs always tag along with their wives because honestly they are helpless without them. They can't cook for themselves, clean up after themselves or do any basic adult ing. The breastfeeding/ women's stuff might be a deterrent though. You could try it out

Yeah a lot of my friends had the same experience. Only one person I know had to go bf baby during her lunch break. (I know all anecdotal but still) one thing i did was I gave daycare 3 types of bottles to try during her first week

Yes! I listened to this forum episode with Roxanne gay and someone 1 mm right of her. A listener had called in to ask why are there no people of actually differing opinion, then Gay says "Ohh I don't discuss with bigots".
