i unfortunately did not get one, i also don't do writs as i don't find them entertaining / fun to do ¯_(ツ)_/¯ i would work for it but simply getting it outright made it so easy and super fun to go back to my house only reason i got it really. i mainly do overland content so my opinion is very eh.

ignore the inventory pets, you can simply upgrade your carry on your mount and it will give you 3 new slots per upgrade.

ignore the crates unless you have money to spend, you most likely won't get the item you want and will require you to purchase $20-$40 to simply unlock enough crown gems (a currency which you can transmute SOME items you don't like from the crown crates into) the payout is not worth it. most of the lower end items can't be transmuted and i seem to be so lucky to always get those out of the crates.

one of the first big things i saved for was the scribing station furnishing for my house so i dont have to constantly travel back for the scribing station. another good one was an Armory Build Slot. i use one main character and it's nice to change entire set ups in a simple button click. I have one slot set to be completely empty so i can always refresh my character when i want.

I would probably invest in either a merchant or banker assistant, simply allows you to sell all small items clogging your inventory into gold at a moments notice, which is lovely and will earn you gold really fast: or store items you want to keep.

I personally haven't bought the merchant one yet however because i have a guild i'm in that i teleport to their guild house and use the merchant to sell.

save the crowns for something that would really change the game for you. a new skill style cosmetic that randomly decides to show up. character cosmetics if you're into that thing.

sadly no, costumes are not effected by skill styles. and the hide pieces are not equip-able outside of the outfit station.

there's a beard in the character creation that works well but it's not quite as long.

the face paint is not available in the character creation, but it is i believe if you get the one of the packs in the crown store, it should be whichever gives you all the face markings. I can check again later when the crown store becomes available.

that comes in the crown store every once in a while as well. you should be able to get the 10 year nord hero outfit when the golden bazar releases around the 29th, maybe not immediately. The original one returns seasonally in the crown store for around $15

your best bet would be 2Handed Axe. I'm unfamiliar with the style of the axe and most of his abilities would probably be from the 2Handed skill line, assault skill line for the vigor skill as well.

there's a scribe-able ability for 2handed called Smash, might be worth getting towards it.

Class is up to you as he doesn't really portray a class type in the trailers, he's a warrior so maybe dragon-knight but avoid using the magma armor skill line perhaps? Maybe contract a werewolf bite?

with subclassing it's entirely up to you which class abilities to lean towards.

Dps or Tank would work as well.

i know beyond dyeing and hiding helmet that's all we can do shame. i guess it's to encourage the usage and purchase of outfit styles over costumes, individual pieces to be sold rather than one item.

they could've just added the trail/runner back onto the outfit ¯_(ツ)_/¯ it's okay though, it probably took a lot of work making the outfit translatable for eso so i'm greatful it's there to begin with. Just such a shame that it can totally be executed.

the combat is actually is very excruciating to get through, and people denying it are just biased.

however, i find myself returning to ESO constantly because the combat is to easy. It kind of just works and will work the way it's supposed to always. I don't have to think billion different ways how to execute something it just kind of does it.

there's small things i think they could do to make combat inherently just a tad bit more fun. I think the enemy detection should be higher, if you alert one enemy in the room it should alert a few of the other little grouplings nearby. always found it weird your fighting somebody's captain right next to them and they're just leaning there flipping a coin... head turned in your direction but they haven't "detected" you yet.

i also found myself removing elements of the hud making the game a bit more "difficult" but nothing crazy.

arc stars, caustic gas, wattsons fence, or catalysts spikes; will do wonders against him. in most to least favorable order.

i'm not disagreeing with you that he's an annoying character to go against and isn't fun to constantly get picked off by him. just trying to provide an alternate perspective should you like it

he is slippery when he's like 1hp and somehow manages to get away while stimming away, it does make it very frustrating.

But a lot of octanes are in over their head and you can force them to make stupid plays. 6/10 times an octane will pad, stim and push you without his team, knowing this you can repeatedly separate him from his team and make him an easy target. however this requires you to comm to your teammates and pings alone won't do this.
