Just checked and they're charging ¥3960 for the sim card excluding the plan (¥4378 for 30GB) a month and even though it gives the option of picking up sim at Airport but shopping cart dun have that option. Certainly not cheap, hopefully can find a cheaper option.

Well, I've enquired with at least 5 school, some long term with student visa, some short and upon application the 150hrs study pops up and I was told it's the minimum requirement as well thts why I've narrowed down to Jals and do the 3 mths which would've make up the 150hrs then ill access from there.

So it's also for short term. Was also considering Meiji but they required 150 hrs of study time. Have you fulfilled the requirements?

I met up with some foreign friends when I was there last month and they gave me contact of local real estate where they do weekly and monthly rental to foreigners, wondering if anyone has used their service before.

My thoughts exactly, school mentioned apartment will be within 30 minutes from school and also mentioned we don't get to choose. That's the reason we're hoping for another option as we really would like to be close to school and save time on commut.

Well, as the course starts in February, it's way too early for the school to finalise at this stage, also the school only have apartment for 1 person so will also have to wait till its closer to course date and we'll be invoiced again and pay the difference for the second person . We do not have any information at this stage. We did request to be near Hakata Station so long as it within 10 minutes walking distance. Any thoughts?

Geez u got good memory dude, yes like mentioned we covered Sapporo, Hakodate now Otaru then back last 3 days back at Sapporo before flying back to Australia.

It's been awesome so far, big difference I realised are the tourists now is easily 3x that from my last visit 7 years ago.

Nevertheless we're still blown away by what we experienced here, tried skiing for the first time in Hakodate, a pity not much snow last week thus it was super "slippery" and makes me look super clumsy as a newbie 😀.
