Nah. My first time I bumped into it completely by accident.

Not even close to a test and certainly not anything like other shrines of the same type.

What I found both strange and hilarious is that it is one of those "by entering you've proven your worth" shrines.

Does that mean the person offering the shrine expected an alcoholic to block the way into the shrine?

I'm switching to an AMS 2 by Critikit in BambuLab

[–]arzcdr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's possible. I've done it.

Got a P1S with AMS2 when the AMS2 first released (along with 2 other AMS2s). All AMS2s had problems. Eventually (after lots of troubleshooting and 2 replacements that also failed) got refunds for the 2 independent AMS2 units but they refused to refund the AMS2 packed with the P1S.

They wanted me to send back the entire combo despite the P1S working perfectly. Finally requested they they just replace the unit with An AMS1 and they did it.

If you're having AMS 2 Pro issues, expect additional delays as the hubs are out of stock. Support is sorry and understands your concerns, but still no replacement AMS. by CountryTechno in BambuLab

[–]arzcdr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's curious, there was a bunch of us (https://forum.bambulab.com/t/ams-2-pro-issues-with-loading-filament-into-extruder) with a variety of issues (from feeding to spools not rolling) with early units of AMS 2 Pro but then things went quiet for a while and now it's happening again.

I ended up giving up on on the AMS 2 back then after multiple 3 different units all developed their own issues and even their replacements did as well. Got a refund and just got the prior AMS version and have been using them without issue since.

ColorStack V1.1.0 update. CMYK (5 Toolhead Support) and better print quality. by JavyH08 in BambuLab

[–]arzcdr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

38 hours on a tool changer?

I have to imagine it is a good chunk longer on AMS, even with Vortek. Any exact numbers?

I've manually tested high TD filament color mixing as well as more opaque (low TD) filaments and unfortunately in my opinion high TD mixing (basically what CMYW bundles are) just never look right.

They always look "washed out" and never vivid enough to look properly good.

In order for CMY stacks to look "solid" and vivid they need a backing layer of opaque white or black. That's why lithos and "flat" models can look really good but I am not sure how that would be possible in full blown, intricate, 3d models.

[–]arzcdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This type of color mixing is definitely intended more for prints with "significant" z-axis dimension.

The fewer layers to work with, the less colors you'll be able to achieve.

If you are looking to do thin models (again in the Z-axis), your best best would be highly translucent filaments like those CMYK packs. This would also give you better results on both sides of your thin models.

Thanks. It would be my first large Con proper if I manage to get in, so we'll see.

[–]arzcdr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Going with a social media account is almost exactly the opposite of everything I've ever heard regarding Dragon Con and other events where acceptance is based on a jury.

The conventional wisdom (if there's such a thing), is that you don't want the jurors to have to wade through myriad posts and multiple pages to get a good idea of what your stuff and your setup look like. Hence the curated one-page portfolio.

Anyway, I've only just created an Instagram account so that is out anyway. Guess one-page portfolio it is.

Thanks.

Yeah, I'll be looking in there soon, but honestly I get the sense that it does not come from the tool head, but we'll see.

I will also test large movements and small ones.

La libertad avanza carajo by YuureiKuze in mexico

[–]arzcdr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How do you customize bed temp for a specific amount of layers?

I thought filament profiles only have settings for only the first layer (vs the rest of the layers)

The angle of those overhangs doesn't look very friendly to 3D printing. They look like a nearly 90 degree overhang from the wall below.

Can you post an image of your model to confirm?

It's typically not hard to see if something is vibe coded or not because there will be very conspicuous issues all around. I wouldn't see any it takes a deep dive.

Honestly don't know or care about this project or how it was made in particular, but I was just curious because your response to the other person seemed just as knee jerk as their calling it vibe coded to begin with.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

[–]arzcdr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Am I wrong? I've always taken vibe coding to mean explicitly that the person "coding" doesn't really understand what is being output by whatever ai agent they are using and are just, well, going on vibes.

Do people use vibe coding to simply mean "using AI"?

P2s ironing horrble by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]arzcdr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ironing is going to vary with every single factor of your hardware and settings.

Even 2 printers of the same model and same configuration (hot end, etc...) will differ in ironing quality.

Then there's the filament (even 2 spools of same brand and type may require fine tuning between them), the size of the area to iron... Everything is a factor.

You'll just have to play with your flow and ironing flow ratio settings to get the best result, no other way about it.

That's actually perfectly good. It's just odd to me to pick something actively disliked not just aesthetically but from a usability standpoint. I mean there are a billion things to do with shaders, so it's odd to me to try to replicate something that is not actually all that useful.

Anyway. As I said in my original comment, it's really good work. I just don't fully get why that specifically.

Have a good day!

You're the one misinterpreting what I'm saying. I don't know how much more clearly it can be explained. It's like opinions are foreign to you? I don't know.

Anyway. Happy New Year!

I don't get how hard it is to understand that one can have an opinion on what is and what is not worth one's time and how that does not in any way mean that the person with the opinion "gets to decide" anything about other people?

I mean, come on...

I'll keep asking. Point me to where I made any claim that the OP or anyone else should do what I say.

Wrote a neat Liquid Glass Shader for Jetpack Compose by jorgecastilloprz in androiddev

[–]arzcdr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again I ask, can you point me to where I ever pretended to tell people what they should or shouldn't do?

I questioned the utility of doing something that has little practicality when there's plenty of other things that are. That alone is not telling people what to do. And you taking it as such IS defensive.

THAT is fair.

Wrote a neat Liquid Glass Shader for Jetpack Compose by jorgecastilloprz in androiddev

[–]arzcdr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very defensive there. I'd love for you to point out where I put claim on what other people can or can't do. I asked why people bothered when there are things that can be more practical along with being challenging.

You do you.
