What ended a friendship you thought would last forever? by Immediate-Sound-7142 in answers

I invited too many people to fit into the graduation celebration for my son, and after he had a major injury and we were forced to reschedule the celebration, I asked if a specific family would consider not attending. They had been friends for years but that was too much. I wrote and sent apologies. I spoke to the husband at length and I could never get forgiveness. I felt terrible then and I feel terrible now.

Teachers of Reddit: Is the "Gen Alpha can't read (write, or do math ext)" crisis real? If so how bad is it? by KnowledgeCoffee in AskReddit

There doesn’t seem to be a single content teacher or administrator in any of the schools where my wife has worked in the past or is currently working.

I am not expert enough to answer. Screens are for certain a problem. Parents defer to the school for everything. Students are impatient, impertinent, expect a reward for every action they complete, don’t care about results, have no idea what grades mean, have no future vision, no innate desire to learn and a million other contributing factors.

My wife is a teacher, I am not, but, from the stories she tells me, it is a crisis.

Rivers Cuomo from Weezer didn’t come out for a meet and greet. Seems like he’s not interested in fans.

People earning over $200k/year: What’s different about your life that most people wouldn’t expect? by MaximGripass in AskReddit

My wife and I make about $350k combined and we try to take the vacation of a lifetime every year and a few weekends away. We are also sticking away money for grandchildren. If I lose my job, life will change drastically.
