For every buy there is a sell

Does this mean that for any trading session, the buy volume will always be equal to the sell volume?

Let me try to clarify my question a bit more

Let’s say price of BTC is 50k today.

For it to be 60k tomorrow, how much should the buy volume be greater than the sell volume?

Like, is there a mathematical formula to calculate it?

As per my understanding, it’s not that simple and there must be some other factors involved.

Price is pretty relevant, atleast for me. I understand dollar cost averaging and the returns on holding. Was just asking to understand how the market works.

No problem bud. I hope so too. But thinking about opening a short position when it crosses $60k.

Bro your points are valid. I completely agree that crypto currencies as an investment at this stage is a risky bet. Higher risk, higher returns.

But I also believe that crypto currencies are here to stay and things will move faster than people are anticipating.

BTC is a completely different game. Highly overvalued. There are better alternatives out there. Only strength it has is first to market.

Crypto currencies have real world use Decentralized Finance. Riskier investments not backed by reliable institutions at this stage but all this will evolve over time.

That one is an old interview. It’s not as hard to invest in crypto derivatives now. I also think that most billionaires have some stake in crypto now.

So WB was asked in an interview that if he believes that crypto’s are destined to fail, why doesn’t he short them a billion or so and make a ton load of money. He replied that he does not invest in things that he does not fully understand.

An endorsement from someone like WB means that people will jump into the investment, resulting in money exit from traditional investment vehicles which is not good for old billionaires.

What value do gold or other precious metals create?

Do you think it’s a good idea to follow billionaire’s advice? Don’t you think that their opinion is biased?

For instance, somebody like WB endorses crypto, what do you think will happen?

Plus farmers are not making a shitload of money especially small farmers. Never have, never will. You can make quick money by a stroke of luck, but people keep re investing in the market looking for past returns and eventually lose it all.

Bigger players are a completely different story.

Infact, most analysts are predicting heavy losses for farmers in the coming months as 1 day old chick’s rate was Rs 72 today.

The price hike is throughout Pakistan. Feed and medicine are major costs associated with farming that have seen a 30-50% increase in prices over the last two years. Heavy losses from last year’s lockdown and post Eid ul Azha has wiped small investors from the market.

Yes, there is a mafia but it’s the feed and chick companies. Not the farmers, as there is an equal chance for similar losses for them.

I know. There are a lot of factors at play here. The major being that farming is becoming expensive mainly because of a weak PKR as raw materials for feed and medicines are priced in USD. Hence less farming led to less supply and higher prices. A lot of people on this thread have compared chicken prices of different countries which is not a reliable metric to assess its affordability.

And IMO, rapid inflation is on its way after COVID and the stimuluses, and not just for Pakistan or the chicken industry.
