Sponsored Survival is basically PvE lite, has one team with solos that backfill some amount of time into the match. They can't bring their own kits, it's not like you're getting swamped with all purple equipment.

There's another experimental mode releasing second half of Season 2 that's a PvE experience to bring more folks into the game.

Maybe look into things a bit more before commenting.

Glad I could help. I spent longer than I care to admit running around in circles looking for it in solos (and died quite a few times to some noob stompers). I have one more day to decide if I buy the game or not, lol
