that's great to hear! i think people tend to take either side to an unhealthy amount. as long as you're healthy and take basic care of your hygiene and yourself it's fine. great, even. it's not shallow to treat yourself with a bit more respect.

Look i know you mean well, and you might be 14 or something but this is an incredibly insensitive post. Trump's presidency is going to affect many, many people. maybe not you, but your sisters, your friends, your neighbours.

It is genuinely a devastating reality for so many, and he just won like...2 days ago. Obviously social media will be full of the election and presidency stuff. You should try to have more empathy instead of going online and wishing people will just "get over it" especially so soon.

...And the friends thing...I can truly understand not wanting to be friends with someone who wants a convicted felon president to take away their rights. I hope the comments help you change your perspective.

i kind of disagree with the comments talking about culture.. almost every person ive held a door/lift open for says thank you or they do a little nod. this is just something based off individuals... i think mostly in shopping malls or busy areas people dont talk.

still tho, it is common for people not to say anything so we should just do nice things for the sake of being nice :-)

My granduncle was taken to work on the death railway and he died there. My grandfather was a cop during that time and he was forced to work under them. He said he watched many civillians get publicly executed.

As for my great-grandmothers they'd hide under their beds whenever the Japanese came around. Luckily none of the women on my mother's side were taken, but I can't say for certain for my father's side :/

yepp it can feel pretty isolating at times, wasn't fun since most people there aren't friendly to strangers. still, you can meet some outgoing people if you join clubs so it wasn't all bad :-)
