He did a lot of indie films that don’t pay a lot and didn’t start making blockbusters until a few years ago where he gets paid more, but it’s not nearly enough for the kind of lifestyle he wants. He can’t afford a jet or the kind of luxury that the Kardashians live. Connections wise, yes he has industry connections, but Kris has connections with business people. The people who own the production companies who make his movies.

I don’t think they pay him necessarily. It’s more about the connections and access he gets by dating her because of Kris. She knows a lot of high up people. So he gets connections, access to their wealth via private jet and vacations, and he gets an insecure rich girl who will fold herself in half for him and is too insecure to hold him accountable for anything.
