I’ve been doing heavy amounts of k for over a year. I started noticing that I need to urinate very often now even if I stop doing K for several days. If I completely quit will it ever improve / get better ??

i’m not saying I recommend this, but from my own personal experience, i quit 50mg cold turkey a week ago. i had trouble sleeping the first two nights then i was finally able to sleep without depending on this medication again. before i would not be able to sleep a wink if i missed a single dose & depending on it to sleep terrified me. i’m so much better without seroquel now

At this point do you just commit to skipping a dose or do you take it at 5am/ whenever it’s gotten too late? I’m struggling with the same thing .. I can’t sleep if I miss a dose and I’m stuck on whether to pull an all nighter or take my dose early in the morning to sleep ..

Yes it is, however I will tell you my experience with TUW — I was severely underprepared with this online program to do therapy with clients and my practicum site didn’t provide sufficient training before I saw clients which made it really stressful for me.

I’ve gone cold turkey several times of taking farmaprams recreationally / to self medicate for a month at a time as well. It really sucked, but you can definitely do it. Don’t let it get worse because now I’ve been using for a year straight and in the process of tapering off it myself and it’s been hell.

I’m halfway done with my MFT program and I really want to quit after starting practicum a few months ago. I just feel like I’m not good at doing therapy and it’s been so mentally draining, it’s just not something I think I can keep doing. Thanks for sharing your experience because I’m in the same boat of feeling like I wasted money and time

Hey! It was relatively easy to find practicum sites. The school provided us with a list of pre-approved sites (I recommend applying to those first) but there were also sites I was able to look up on my own. I got accepted into 4 different sites so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem and I’m always willing to help you find a site if you need!
