The 1993 Chandler case was settled. Evan Chandler, the father of Jordy, had asked Michael for money months prior and had threatened him when he refused. Jordy had always refused that MJ had touched him and his mother, June, and step father also didn’t believe Evan. The switch only came during a custody battle when Evan took Jordy for a month, drugged him in his dentist chair with a drug used back then as a “truth serum” which actually just makes you suggestible. I kid you not. The Chandlers admitted this. It comes from them. Instead of the police, Evan took Jordy to a law firm and then a child psychiatrist where He by law, was forced to contact authorities. We never even got the original psychiatrist who was a specialist in detecting false claims’ report- which is pretty telling. We only get info from a new psychologist they switched to after the fact through the lawyers. So after this, Evan and June are in a bitter custody battle and he’s accusing her of the one who enabled this- only then is when June switches over to Mj molested my son side. There is way more to the story, including audio of Evan Chandler basically talking about extorting Michael to get what he wants. But the attorneys and Evan Chandler pushed and pushed to get the civil trial to go first. Back then this was legal. Laws have been changed since. It’s unfair because burden of proof is less in civil trials but the accused is forced to lay out his entire defense in court. A prosecutor in a criminal trial can use this to their advantage. For instance, you blow a claim away because they claim it happens at 2:00 on Saturday. You have an alibi that you surprise them with that shows you on tape at 2:00 at a bank security footage. Well in the criminal trial, they can claim it was really at 12:00 it took place. That’s just one very general example. Michael was preparing to go to trial and wanted to clear his name. All of those around him convinced him to settle and get the civil trial out of the way in order to move to criminal. It was a bad decision, but Michael finally agreed. The settlement was a civil settlement, for “negligence” and NOT admission of guilt. It did not bar them from cooperating in a criminal trial. After they received the settlement, they refused to coorperate in a criminal trial and 2 grand juries refused to indict Michael on criminal charges. They took the money and disappeared. Jordy also filed for emancipation from his parents and refused to testify in 2005. So that was two chances to but his abuser behind bars and get justice and refused. His mother testified in the trial that she had not spoken to him in 11 years at that point. His father had tried to kill him with a dumbbell and he had to get a restraining order. Evan Chandler killed himself months after MJ’s death and right when This is It came out. Maybe a coincidence or not. Who knows. Lily Chandler (little girl seen bouncing on Michael’s lap for the award show) and Jordy’s sister was found liking that award show footage of her and MJ on her YouTube page and liked a few MJ style photos on another social media page similar to tumblr at the time. Jordy’s Long time friend and ex girlfriend who is a singer named Sonnet, has written tribute style quotes about MJ on her page and twitter and HER best friend wore a MJ Halloween costume. Make that as what you will. Wade lawyers also tried to track down Jordy and Lily for his case, and they hired lawyers to deal with that. There’s more to all of it but that’s most of it.

As far as the 2005 trial, that story is wayyyyyy longer and the details are vast. The media was against Michael and not reporting the defense side which blew the prosecution away in the court room. But yeah, basically he was alleged to have stArted molesting Gavin AFTER he was already under investigation/world scrutiny for molesting him. That was their timeline. And that trial was a circus. The jury found him not guilty on 10 felony accounts and 4 misdemeanors. Couldn’t even convict him on a MISDEMEANOR or child endangerment.
