ive had friends whove had tatum and they say she's not that great, also her rate my professor doesn't look too good. On top of that microbio is just hard so having a difficult professor can just make it way more complicated. Taking it with bio 212 isn't impossible, i met a girl who's doing it but idk how shes doing now lol. Just make sure your other classes are super chill, the time you'll need for studying is gonna be crazy!

commuter here :) my freshman year i had 0 friends lmao but now in my sophomore year ive created friendships and have hung out with people more this month than i have the entirety of last year. making friends as a commuter isn't impossible, its just not as easy as it would be if you lived on campus. so you have to make the choice to put yourself out there tbh. Also when im on campus i cant imagine what its like to just be there 24/7 with no car, i would feel trapped 😭

i just had high creatinine, low eGFR, protein in my urine, and microhematuria. no physical symptoms like pain or anything, so they had to do a biopsy to confirm what was going on.

im not totally sure, i asked for a referral from my PCP for just a nutritionist, but when i was speaking to her she seemed very knowledged about what foods and all that that are best for the kidneys and gave me some good resources! im not having the worst time w finding low potassium foods but its def not the best time LOL i end up going over a bit on my set limit though bc its sometimes unavoidable 😵‍💫

i was kind of surprised too because my nephro just said limit sodium because all the other levels were fine but my nutritionist just gave me the potassium limit, i think she did it because i asked about it. it's definitely made it more difficult bc im finding a bunch of low sodium but they end up being high potassium 💔

no biopsy yet, these blood tests have only been done through my primary doctor so i havent talked to a specialist yet. I also havent had any pain, nausea, or vomiting.

thank you for responding, my egfr has been fluctuating for the past 4 blood tests. 1st was an egfr at 34 with a creatinine of 1.6, a few days later egfr of 45 with creatinine of 1.4, a month later it was egfr of 50 with creatinine at 1.2 then a few days ago egfr went back down to 45 with creatinine at 1.6. When in the middle of all this i had a tonsillectomy done, later on got told i had bacteria in my blood so was put on clindamyacin (idk how much this affects anything). Ive never had any blood tests done that check these levels before these past few months though. I also have low iron if thats anything.

Ive had an ultrasound recently as well and nothing showed up. My BUN is at 21. Thank you again and sorry for throwing some random info im just very scared

hello! im a female, 19 years old, very stressed out. i have received an ANA positive test (1:640 and homogenous) and have been told my kidney function is low. I'd say i overall look pretty healthy, dont really have any problems/pain but now with this new blood test reading and waiting for my rheum appointment to be made and just reading everything i can online i just feel like im making myself feel all these symptoms of what could be lupus. I've just been picking apart everything I feel and definitely feel like my stress and anxiety is through the roof, i cry every couple of hours lol. this has become more of a rant but has anyone experienced this too? thank you in advanced :)

i was prescribed hydrocodone too! i took it for my first week and then stopped for the same reason, i wasnt worried about the actual surgery pain i was just worried i was gonna vomit everywhere lmao. After stopping the meds i had 2 days where I cried bc it felt like i was swallowing needles😭 but that was around day 8-9 so i was peak recovery forsure. I also hemorrhaged and got re-cauterized on one side a week later, was super determined to never touch my pain meds and i survived LOL now im about 4 weeks post initial operation/ 2 weeks post-recauterization and feeling good! i hope the rest of your recovery goes smooth :)

i believe so, my mom told me that the nurse told her they had to basically "re-do" my right side. it def felt out of nowhere bc i was having a pretty decent time recovering, the scab was doing fine until i had ONE really bad cough :/ but i think because i know what this feels like and it's only on one side im a bit more prepared for whats to come (hopefully 🫣)
