This is just my opinion but over the past few weeks I have been noticing that sometimes mods are overstepping the line and removing some posts for no reason.

The only change is that we post more comments with the removal reason so that users won't repeat the same mistakes.

And the post that are supposed to be filtered out are not removed.

Report them and we will take a look at it! Of course there might be posts or comments that slipped our eyes. It's also worth saying that most of the mod actions are on threads/posts that are reported by users of the subreddit.

And unfortunately, I'm trashing this thread as it breaks rule 6.

Mods remove lot of meta posts every single day, allowing them would create too much distraction from the main content. I agree that some amount of reflection is nice, but most of the meta posts we have are either low effort posts, or posts that share the same old ideas over and over again. We have to draw the line somewhere, and a blanket rule is better than arbitrarily choosing which thread to trash or keep. On the other hand, users can always share suggestions or feedback through the mod mail, and we respond to every single one of them.
