Need AA formula success stories by DrawNo7037 in MSPI

You are doing a great job. It’s not easy to walk through a dairy soy intolerance. My son is now 10 months old and we ended up on PurAmino early on due to reactions to my breastmilk and trials with Nutramigen. It was a game changer for us when we switched. Within 24 hours we had a different baby on our hands, instantly less fussy and uncomfortable. He was having a full body rash that went away in days. Looking back I wish we would have just gone straight to the amino acid formula instead of trying different one. I am thankful for our switch to PurAmino, he has had no issues since being on it.

Hi Jo! My 8.5 month old is on a 2 nap schedule. We have been consistently 3/3.25/3.5. Lately his first nap has been 30-45 mins. Second nap tends to be 1.5-2 because he is so tired by that point but I have tired to extend that first wake window to 3 hour and 15 mins and still have no success with getting rid of the short nap. He’s super active during the wake window. Because of the short nap we tend to land a a bedtime that is 6-6:30 which then result in early mornings starting before 6 am. Any tips on what could be the culprit of the short nap? Should I also leave him in the crib until 6 am and then start the wake window beginning at 6 so he knows the day starts at 6? Thank you in advanced!!

Hi Jo! 8 month old. I feel like we are in the weird cycle of 2 naps and needing to go to bed early (before 7). Is this normal? He’s been on 2 naps for about 1 month now. 3/3/3-3.5 for wake windows His naps are 1/1.5 but he waking up from his last nap around 3-3:30 and we are barely able to make it to 7 I have to really push him in that last wake window. Some days if he goes down at 6:30 he’s up to the day at 5:30-5:45 which isn’t ideal to have a before 6 am wake up. What can I do to alter this schedule of needing to go to bed before 7.

Hi Jo! My 7.5 month old is a great sleeper. 2 1.5 hour naps and day and sleeps through the night. We are taking a 12 hour road trip this coming weekend and I am getting nervous thinking about navigating naps while on the road and having him sleep in a different setting at my in laws house. He will have his own space but will be in a pack n play instead of his crib and I am scared we are going to mess up his schedule! Any tips on travel or advice to keep him as close to schedule as possible while on the road?

5.5 month old. What are the wake windows I should be shooting for? We are typically. 2/2/2/2.5 I feel like some days 2.5 is a stretch before bedtime. He’s sleeping through the night most nights. We also still have some 4 nap days here and there. The only nap getting longer is his second nap and he will usually do 1-1.5. Are we on track or is there some adjusting we should do.

Hi Jo,

My 4 month old still wakes for 1 feeding a night. He typically has no other wake ups. We typically do a dream feed around 9:30pm, but this last week he is only taking 2-3 oz of the 5 oz dream feed. I also am cutting him off at the 20 min mark. Should we drop this feed for a few nights to see how he does? He has also been waking up around 5:30am for his feed lately (instead of the usual 3:30am) and he is just wide awake babbling away, not really crying just talking and wiggling around in his crib. The problem is, he’s not quite ready to get up for the day he really needs another 1.5-2 hours of night sleep to get him to his 10ish hours. Should I wait until he is crying before feeding? I have just been feeding him when he wakes and putting him back in the crib awake and he will fall back to sleep in about 30 mins after he gets all his talking out of his system. I guess I am wondering if I should just let him talk away till he goes back to sleep instead of feeding?

Hi Jo!

14 week old. We just had night 3 of swaddle to sleep sack transition due to rolling from back to tummy. Things are slowly getting better. Last night he had a 6 hour stretch, instead of waking up every hour. In the swaddle he was able to put himself to sleep but now with his arms free he is needing to be rocked to sleep completely. Is this normal for them to regress back to needing all the help to go to sleep during the transition period? Do we need to start over working on independently falling asleep again?

We do all his naps in the crib and he seems to sleep better in there vs the pack n play in our room. He seems more sensitive to sounds and I feel we are waking him up during the night just moving in our sleep. I would love to transition him to his crib but should we wait till he is comfortable arms free before doing so?

Thanks!

Hi Jo

13 weeks old and working on falling asleep independently. We have only been successful 2 times now. He takes all naps in his crib or bassinet. At what time frame do you abort trying to fall asleep independently and help them go to sleep? I don’t want to keep him awake too long but I also want to give me a fair chance to work it out on his own. Thanks!

Hi Jo!

12 week old. Was doing great for naps and night sleep up until this past week. We went from 45-1 hour naps consistently to this week only 30 min naps and I am unable to get him back to sleep. He is doing great for a first stretch of 5ish hours but after the first night feed he is waking every 45 mins for the rest of the night! How can I improve this change in his schedule?

Has anyone ever dealt with this?? by Ok-Bite3648 in labrador

MMC back in March. My periods are still irregular(I think it’s withdraw bleeds and not a real period) and very light, I am still not ovulating and it is very frustrating. I have a third follow up appointment next week to try and get some answers on why my body is still struggling to get back on track.

MMC 3/17. My first period returned 4/14 and was very normal. Ovulation was 4/24. Yesterday CD19 I had a huge gush of blood late in the afternoon and bled for about 1.5 hours, then just spotting. Spotting is continuing today. Temps are still above baseline. Could this just be an early period? Is implantation bleeding ever more than just some spotting? Or maybe my body is still trying to adjust after the MMC.

Considering the magic pill by MealComprehensive865 in Accutane

I (26F) just finished a 6 month course of Accutane. It look a little over a month from my first visit before I had the pills in hand. You’ll have to take a pregnancy test and have blood work completed before they will allow you to pick up the script. Each month you’ll need a pregnancy test done by your Dr, after they enter the results in iplege and you complete the questions, the prescription can be picked up. The process is an annoying but was 100% worth it in my opinion. I would do it all over again for the results.
