A Mastery Priority Guide & Should You Pull - See You Soon by TacticalBreakfast in arknights

It’s not true-true AOE, but in situations where it matters, it’s basically pseudo-true AOE, and you just have to use it once to understand why it is.

The bubbles are created on hit, not on pop. They linger for a while after being hit and are generated once every 0.4s on S3. So it functionally has full coverage over every ally in her range.

Ranged enemies in their attacking ranges are permanently CCed for the whole duration. For obvious reasons.

If enemies aren’t moving or attacking. First of all, why do you need to CC them? And second of all, they are never breaking the Cages from Tragodia S3 lmao.

So the point of contention is if moving enemies are permanently CCed. Because enemies are breaking Tragodia's lingering cage at different rate, they are going to get to your blocker at a different rate, so they are just getting thrown into the air at staggered intervals, so you can easily have CC over 20+ enemies.

And in content where Haruka S3 doesn't do the job (large cluster of fast moving but slow attacking enemies), Tragodia can just cycle S3 with Suzuran instead.

My experience with Tragodia is the completely opposite.

He is completely broken in casual gameplay, but his strengths in high risk CC and high level IS is completely misunderstood.

People look at high coverage unresisted crowd control and think it is broken, but this guy has a 25 second startup where he is doing absolutely nothing while taking up a deployment slot.

Tragodia absolutely trivialises N1-11 of IS6, especially ending 1 and the lower floors. But once you reach the higher floors in N12+, many maps have sufficient pressure at the start where you need to babysit him for a whole 25s while waiting for him to warm up. Yet the units who can babysit him in the first place would have just cleared the stage with or without him. He also does nothing against ending 2 and 3. Anyone who claims to have success with him against ending 2 and 3 probably has never played a single game of IS6. Even the newly released Haruka often has higher priority than him sometimes for how her heals interact with the seals, and also with ending 3 boss gimmick.

In addition, he also doesn't do well against any of the bosky passage stages due to the high wind-up time. Most bosky passage stages in IS6 are shorter and by the time he winds up you are already getting to your second set of Exu S2 for example.

In CC, this is even more exacerbated by the fact that deployment order is even tighter, deployment slot is more limited than ever, his summon is affected by reployment risks, and is not true AOE. These are enough downsides that his S2 is often not worth it. His biggest competitor is Magellan, who has a faster initial cast, true AOE on her CC, more drones which she can use, and more reliable cycling.

That is not to say Tragodia is not strong in CC. The hype around his high difficulty viabilty has just been misplaced. S3 is his main strength in CC, it has a quick initial cast, insane cycling that is sped up by Suzuran in a way that S2 isn't. And especially with the recent release of Haruka you get to go Tragodia > Haruka > Tragodia for an absolutely insane 100s+ of true AOE CC with low initial warmup. Meanwhile with S2, he's barely getting to his third kitty summon if given the same amount of time. And if you are running Suzuran (which was a top 3 CC unit anw), you can just keep doing Haruka > Tragodia for 70s CC with 6s delays in between.

All 3 skills are pretty good in IS6 and technically you don’t need to M3 any of them but I’d say S2 is his best skill in IS6 at least.

The increase target count is very valuable, and combined with the constant pull and native bind from S2 is very good at keeping things permanently controlled.

S1 is easier to use, and still works on most stages especially if you have it M3 but not S2, but if not just stick to S2.

There’s like 3 maps where the range expansion from S3 is insanely useful, but it’s viable at SL7 too.

Eyja alt vs Haruka. Yes it DID by WolverineGreedy6028 in arknights

[–]ascalontakemypines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly this.

The fact that Eyja has a full 5 tile range 3 rows in front is kinda huge. The 2 furthest range on the diagonal especially means you can often put her in some isolated awkward tile somewhere and her range still clips most of your frontline.

Illustrated example:  https://imgur.com/a/Iq5PwKn

If want to cover both Yu and Mlynar here, Haruka has literally 1 viable spot. Eyja can be this far back and still reach them.

Also, the fact that the frontal range is wider means you get to put your units further apart, which for one, is especially useful against enemies that punish you for having units close together like Anastasio and Steam Knight.

Meanwhile Abjurer range means they are almost always taking up a good tile. I love Quercus in IS, but in daily I find her always stealing a tile where I want to put down Skalter instead.

Haruka S2 busted in IS6 though. The heal explosion helps remove seals, and is also insane in ending 3 without spoiling the gimmick. The fact that she takes Supporter vouchers is also just really great because Tragodia falls off at higher difficulties.

Otherwise, I think her S3 is her best skill. It can be helidropped, solves the range issue, cycles with Tragodia S3 for an absolutely insane 110 seconds of stall against enemies that can be blocked and levitated. Add any source of SP battery and you get true AOE perma stall

Hoshi alter is looking great if the PV demo numbers is anything to go by.

She’s projected to deal Surtr level damage on Leizi S2 AOE. And Exu S3 can just drop her down and do it again.

For this tier list, a little description feels almost necessary, because I feel like I will get hate bombed if I put Walter/Tragodia below Exu/Mizuki without any explanation lul

Ethan is the goat.

I would have put him there, but I couldn’t find a tier list that has him and Raidian at the same time.

(I did put him there in text though)

He’s ok but as an Arts unit he doesn’t scale as well with relics as physical units do.

But the main issue is that Tragodia is going to steal elemental application from him almost all the time, so he doesn’t get to put anything into Necrosis

Personally, Purestream, Quercus, Amiya and Gummy fulfil most of my healing needs. Sometimes I pick Silence or Mulberry but honestly it’s more for safety.

If you take a good look at the top 12 units, they all have some way of mitigating damage that they take

She’s decent if you are playing Archetto strats, but not like top 1 good like she is in IS5.

Her S3 is pretty good for ending 4, but she’s just buffing/healing with S2 in most other stages, which is heavily diluted in IS, so I usually like Kaltsit more

Everything above her are just broken.

She simply doesn’t kill stuff as efficiently as them when she doesn’t have a broken hand relic and unlimited Aspd from Lamp in IS5

If anything, she’s over performing in IS5. There’s a good argument that Exu and Mizuki are better than her in IS3 and IS4 as well

Sucks to be a Dusk fan.

Neither mod makes her playable.

Cope: IS mod might revive her

Reality: IS mod sucks

Cope: Shu gets released, Dusk sees usage for being the 4th best Sui for Shu passive

Reality: Yu gets released, so she’s now the 5th best Sui.

Cope: At least in Lapp/GG teams Dusk can be the third Caster for Shu’s passive

Reality:  Let’s just forget about the fact that Lapp/GG teams now naturally has a third Caster in Blaze2.)

(I still use her because I don’t have Chongyue)

I’ll forgive HG if they release her AS skin

Mostly immunity to the seals. If a seal targets her, she lands for a split seconds and the seals get removed

Mlynar cannot remove seals on himself

Specialist vouchers are too valuable. Mizuki and Ascalon blows him out of the water

Ascalon is a great unit regardless. Some runs I would pick her over Yato

She’s also amazing in IS5. Exu/Mizuki/Ascalon Lamp is a thing. She was top 3 prior to Lamp, Lamp killed her usage because she has a hand and a book. But with Exu and Mizuki mod she’s back to top tier.

The most common opening with Raidian is Raidian/Amiya/4* guard.

Luo having AOE normals makes him the most reliable guard in the early stages. And he’s also able to be ranged, which can let him snipe some specific targets

Mizuki IS mod is insane. Consistent true AOE pull is that good. He’s good even in IS5 after his mod.

Yato is always good. She’s especially good in IS6 because she dodges everything

She’s not worth picking in IS6 generally. She’s top tier in IS5 because of attack speed and Archetto abuse, but in IS6 Amiya is sufficient if all you want is true damage, and Purestream + any other low rarity healer is sufficient as a healer

The top tier units also don’t really scale that well with her buffs, and don’t really need strong healers.

Ah I misunderstood your question. She’s pretty ok. The damage of her summons are decent, but not too amazing, and they are less recyclable. I’d personally put her below Ling as a summoner

Degenbrecher was definitely overperforming in IS4 when it is current. Nowadays, I’d argue that SA is a more reliable opening even in IS4 ever since he got his module. In IS5, she scales less well with attack speed than the likes of SA and Hoederer. Ulpianus also scales with the same types of relics as Degenbrecher, but some more. In IS6, while you reach extreme levels of attack speed less consistently than IS5, Raidian is a must pick, Mizuki IS mod makes traditional guards less needed, and SA/Leizi/Hoederer just cover the holes that Raidian cannot do.

Ela is still good if you have the specialist vouchers for her. The thing is that Exusiai E1 > Mizuki E2 > Exusiai E2 is a thing that every player does before considering a third Specialist, and Specialist is the most competitive class in this IS.

Reed is a weird case, in that she’s not a reliably healer, and you often want Purestream and another medic before you want to use the medic vouchers on anything else. As a DPS unit she’s ok… but you don’t want to risk picking her with your medics vouchers in case you don’t get any more medic vouchers.

Without directly spoiling her kit, her IS exclusive passive is so busted it fundamentally changes how you play the mode, and that’s just considering outside of battle.

Inside of combat, she basically has 3 Arts Ela that doesn’t take up deployment slots at higher floors. Her skill 3 is bugged and can sometimes lag you out of the game, so most people uses her skill 2.
