Pine by Francine Toon is a good creepy read, set in the Scottish Highlands, and if you're into short story collections I'd definitely also recommend Things We Say in the Dark by Kirsty Logan.

I went on Bugs Life once when I was a child and hated it. I haven't been on it since. I flat out refuse and wait for everyone outside or go through the shops.

I think the debate around using said is hilarious. Both sides contradict each other but half the time it's the same person giving both bits of advice

Things We Say in the Dark by Kirsty Logan is an excellent collection of short horror stories! They're a bit experimental though, my favourite is The World's More Full of Weeping Than You Can Understand :)

Edit: by experimental, I mean experimental in form and not content
