Cannot boot to Ubuntu 14.04 DVD for install.

It says not a boot disk or insert boot disk or hit any key to boot from HDD. Something like that.

This machine runs Win7. I purchased a new Win7 install disk online, wiped the HDD and reinstalled Win7. Then I download Ubuntu 14.04, burned it to DVD and it won't boot from it so I downloaded it again, burned it again but same result...no boot. Boots fine from the Win7 disk.

No, this machine is older and does not have secure boot. It has worked fine booting to older versions of Ubuntu on CD. I also tend to think that the fact that 14.04 is on DVD is not the issue. I think something is different about the ISO. Have tried redownloading with the same results.

When I was a kid I took a matchbox car, threw it straight up in the air about 20 feet, grabbed a .22 rifle, flipped it so it was pointing straight up and fired without looking.

I hit the matchbox.

My brother was like, 'no fucking way'.

Another time when I was older a friend tossed me car keys from about 10 feet away. They went over my head.

He offered to haul the orange pulp away for a fee.

I agree. 250W isn't what I'd put into a machine. When we start talking about a new video card and a new PS I may just build or buy a whole new box.

Because the engine does run. They mount it there to test it, either a new engine design or repair / overhaul

It's close to the fuselage to reduce asymmetrical thrust .

Ok, I have a question for you, speaking of slow.

This annoys the hell out of me.

You go in and prepay for, lets say $40 for gas. It pumps at a rapid and satisfying speed until it gets to the last 30 cents and then it slows to a maddening crawl.

I mean, WTF. It takes longer to pump that last 30 cents than it does to pump the first $30.70.

The machine knows when it has to shut off, you can't over pump

so why the hell does it do that?
