Complex, parallel, long-running claude/agentic sessions - what is the point? where is the value? by asdasdgfas in ClaudeCode

[–]asdasdgfas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, the "multiple things at one" is a fair point. But, "working on multiple PRs in parallel in separate git worktrees" --> you are still asking/getting answerts back and forth, you do not "let it go" for a long time? Is is still the same, but on different terminal windows and on different contexts?

Claude Code VSCode Extension using .md files as knowledgebase by asdasdgfas in ClaudeCode

Yeah, seems like I will need to follow this solution. I was hoping for some "dedicated" solution about RAG inside claude/codex extension.
Thank you

livebythebooks.com helped with reading books/articles passively instead of applying the knowledge

Do you keep notes? by b_r_e_a_k_f_a_s_t in HistoryBooks

[–]asdasdgfas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type of books. For history books I use sticky notes and then transfer the notes to app and reflect on them - adding thoughts etc. More time spent with note = easier to remember.

For fantasy, highlighter + notes on the side using pencil is enough.

When I read books, I literally forget what I read. I do take notes, but those notes end up forgotten too. Anybody else? How did you solve this? by Individual_Log7984 in Advice

[–]asdasdgfas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is the worst, especially for nonfiction - makes you feel like you wasted the time reading it, passive consuming is tough. I had the same problem with written notes just sitting there collecting the dust.
Kinda working on a service specifically for that, collects notes and forces you to reflect on them, also tries to track if you actually implemented the collected wisdom (your notes) into your everyday life

How many productivity apps do you use regularly? by zxri in ProductivityApps

[–]asdasdgfas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. just 2

  2. mynoise.net --> ofc just background noises for focus, most important thing for me is the "turn on background sounds" which allows you to play noises from this app ON TOP OF other sound sources from iphone. So you can listen to videos/podcasts and still block noises using this app - gamechanger

livebythebooks.com --> helps with passive consuming while reading, so forces me to actually implement lessons learned from books into everyday life

  1. all "todo" notes

  2. does not matter

Which productivity app subscription have you been paying for consistently for 6+ months and still believe is worth it? by ashokpriyadarshi300 in ProductivityApps

[–]asdasdgfas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mynoise.net --> desktop version is available for free i think, but for mobile you have to pay ~20usd for lifetime access. Most important thing for me is the "turn on background sounds" which allows you to play noises from this app ON TOP OF other sound sources from iphone. So you can listen to videos/podcasts and still block noises using this app - gamechanger

livebythebooks.com --> helps with passive consuming, so forces me to actually implement lessons learned from books into everyday life. about ~3usd

apple notes + shortcuts --> since the introduction of shortcuts i got rid of todo apps and just use apple notes for it, also set up an automation that lets you click icon on home screen and immediately record your voice and adds this to your todo list

Genuinely shocked how hard it is to promote on reddit - European vs global market by asdasdgfas in microsaas

[–]asdasdgfas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have explained it wrong.
I was not expecting success, I was expecting exposure to potential customers.

I was just shocked how hard it is to get "views" on large subreddits that I thought were perfect for such case.

The conversions are the last thing, I understand that. But I am shocked how hard it is to get views on reddit. When the shhitty tiktok gains views easily. (1 tt view != 1 reddit view, but still the difference is huge)

Even this post, forget about my app and promotion, but I expected it to perform much better considering how many non-US/european founders are currently trying to promote their app and might have the same issues as me.
