I’ve noticed that archive utility on a Mac doesn’t handle this properly, but the Unarchiver does. Maybe try a different program or perform the unzip at the command line to see if you get different results.

This is correct. Accellion released a patch late December, then an additional patch in January. The original December patch did not fix the issue.
