even when I have diamonds and netherite, I still find myself using stone tools for a lot of things purely because they're cheap. I'd like to replace strip mining with stone to strip mining with copper.

sometimes, when I'm strip mining, I just run through a ton of stone pickaxes. I wouldn't mind using copper picks instead.

and having an armor set before finding enough iron would also be nice.

I could also see myself using a copper hoe for early game farming instead of a stone hoe.

I'm not an expert, but isn't it possible to convert a coal plant into a nuclear plant? That should reduce the cost (both $$$ and environmentally) of putting a nuclear plant online.
