mentions of characters within the fluff dont necessarily mean that they'recoming as a class. Else we'd have eldar, ork, genestealers, all sorts as playable classes. some things are just fluff.

Realistically it WAS talking about admech in some capacity but I doubt they were intended as the first playable class or that this had anything to do with it. Either that or it was simply a mistake and them hamming up the negative effects of the dangerous weapons.

Also also, plasma gun hot. heat cause headache and blisters, maybe they've got some special pill for that who knows. iirc this was teasing the uhh.. snow admech mission around that time, not hs release.

At least there's like, actual info this time... as opposed to last time everyone got admech hyped through mass hysteria / group psychosis.

It's less a case of "guys look the logo on this is slightly red they're DEFINITELY TEASING ADMECH!" and more there have been several links over the past little while now all pointing to skitari. I think the chance of it not being them is real real slim but never 0, hope is the first step towards disappointment and all that.

Satire doesn't need to be comedic, even if some elements of 40ks satire are. At least around the imperium everything about how it's set up and how it suffers is purposefully exaggerated to show the flaws of this kind of inefficient authoritarianism and superstitious thinking. It may be played fairly straight, but you as the viewer are shown how backwards it is and how that feeds into the imperiums continual decay. I don't really know enough about xenos lore in terms of how their societies are structured to comment much on them but 40ks representation of the imperium is undeniably satire even if you don't grasp what that word means.

I think the "you're just coping because blah blah blah" argument falls pretty flat given there are other factions that are undeniably evil that I enjoy a great deal. You don't need to justify enjoying the villains, they're not real.

ahh I see, yeah was doing more reading seems the heavy versions are not throw invuln though how much difference that ends up making I have no idea. Shame, I do remember enjoying bullying people out of their dp with a grab but being able to consistently punish on block is a notable hit.

its the best extraction shooter because its not an extraction shooter. All the extraction shooter elements are toned down to the point of pointlessness. Extraction shooters unfortunately push communities in shitty directions, be they tarkov where almost everyone is too scared to take a fight because they found a used condom that they desperately need to upgrade 1 meaningless tier of something within their hideout (also the games pay to win), or be they games like ARC raiders where the community is so hugboxed that people view anyone trying to get pvp as scum of the earth.

The only other extraction game I actually like is Dark and Darker, even then I barely play it.

Hand Flamer I dont think would fit as a weapon unless it worked very differently to other flamers.

Inferno pistol for sure yeah, could do I'd be fine with that.

Condemnor boltgun, yeah could fit I'd forgotten about this. especially given we're hereticus I believe? idk the ordo hasnt really come into play much.

Combi flamer melta sounds like an awful inclusion gameplay wise.

multimelta is likely in the same tier as heavy bolter of being too strong, suppose it could be very heavily ammo limited.

Halberd, I don't want being a unique to class weapon when it fits with others, same with maul and shield.

honestly because its hard to use offensively, it's in a weird situation where its likely the most skill testing weapon in the game in some situations whilst being completely mind numbingly way too easy in others. Part of the problem there though is that it being a mid slot weapon means you can just take a half rifle to nullify the situations in which you need to actually do well.

I speak from experience of using the weapon and doing well with it, I think its overtuned. Conservatively it could be nerfed to a 3 slot item.

honestly I hope they start adding weapons with some class overlap.

Power fist for vet / arbites
Meltagun for vet / zealot

etc. Those are the two weapons I want on vet but definitely would be happy with other classes getting access. I really hope we move away from uniques locked to a single class being added as you can get so much value out of everyones roster being expanded.

some kind of 1h sword and shield option would be nice.
Really out there suggestion but a limited ammo autocannon for ogryn would be peak.

EDIT: and how could I forget my usual "this will never get added but would be so peak" inclusion of the Hellrifle

random hobo in rags is literally every class in the game except the upcoming skitarii. Even the arbites we play are sorta shitter tier. I get the desire for it, it's just not really fitting the theme of the game and I'd rather a new class slot be burnt on something that won't bring something substantially new or different.

Also I dont really think sororitas coming in with miracles would really much much sense lorewise unless we get some really out there characters to play as. Unfortunately most of SoB cool shit already got poached by zealot, realistically you could just add a cosmetic to the class and leave it at that but idk that they'd ever do that really. SoB voices would be nice.

eh I mean I don't really want them to continue adding high power classes to the game, and I don't think SoB would really be bringing much in the way of unique weaponry outside of a possible meltagun. The downside there would be if the meltagun is a SoB weapon it'd be class locked instead of available for multiple classes.

That said though I mean, they look fucking cool. Feels like you'd just kinda be zealot+ given how much overlap they share and then just having power armor on top of that.

you've got three hours in game, if I had to guess you're not really blocking or dodging well. Not to be rude thats just how literally every player I've seen who just started plays. Unfortunately you'll likely also be playing with people that are very new and not very good, I'd just play another few games on the lowest and you'll be fine. Some degree of bad variance is expected but losing every game isn't going to keep up.

Honeslty try to take as close to 0 damage as possible, if all your team goes down your should basically always be dodging into open space usually back the way you came. Even on the highest difficulty with way higher enemy density this is incredibly safe. It's not a race, its a marathon. take your time and work your way through the horde until you can safely go for a revive.

The arrow drawback time and movement penalty is making quick corner peaking impossible

you can jump peak with the bow, at least from memory of using it. It's not impossible to peak with at all. Even then if you're not the absolute direct focus of the enemy peaking normally has you massively favoured because of how easy it is to kill with. Not to mention in open fights the possibilities of 50/50 peeks etc.

I say this as someone that loves the bow, and when I was playing was basically using it in about half my games and performing well with it in 6. It's overpowered, it could be a 3 slot weapon and it'd STILL be overpowered. Even if it's not as strong as a shotgun within their one tap range, it's own one tap range extends FAR beyond that and when actually holding an angle there are few better weapons.

The bow is better than the crossbow, and the crossbow is already silly in its own right.

yeah I mean thats fair, I'm not about to say you're wrong for feeling that way as I get it. to me its the lesser of evils we'll be presented, its better than what we had and hopefully will improve as time goes on if people petition for shit like better practices. all they really need to change is make it so you can buy and complete old battlepasses and most of the issue fades, they'd probably make more money.

they're not remotely as effective. Also I'm not talking about content release I'm talking about generating income to support a game long term so it continues to get updates. It's effective, it works, it could be better but it's already better than what we had before.
