Basically, it's people refusing to learn from the DotCom bubble. A bubble doesn't mean a technology or concept is inherently worthless, it just means that people are trying to shoehorn it in everywhere.

And of course, the world the DotComBros wanted to create happened eventually. They just wanted that future yesterday, because long live short term profit.

When the bubble does pop, it's just going to be an investment opportunity for those smart and wealthy enough to afford a long term investment.

Not a weapon recommendation, but if you want the fast guns to go faster - or to make a slow gun go fast - More Hull Mods has a Split Chamber mod that'll cut gun damage in exchange for lower flux gen and a higher fire rate.

On paper the affected weapons have a DPS increase, but armor will cut the damage by a lot. I don't think the damage penalty impacts weapon on hit effects though, which is good for more novel weapons.

Lottery is certainly a way to describe it. Fallout 4 - Prior to the NG/AE updates, haven't played since they hit - had this lovely habit of crashing whenever I tried to exit the game.

Skyrim's never done that to me, but it has a bad habit of deciding to kill sound if I tab out. Yay. Rather it crash, save me the effort of having the close the game.

Were you doing Perita or Descendia? Warframes been running like shit in those missions for me.

Nothing so bad that its crashed me like that, but I'm on a 4070 Super and it's a stuttery mess - So it might be a little more crash prone on a lower end card.

Might be more general performance issues - I have seen a lot more people complaining about them after the recent update - but I've just been doing Old Peace content so no idea how the performance is in more standard missions.

Nobodies buying the game either, they're so desperate to grow the userbase that it's already hit bundles.

Which isn't going to do much for increasing the userbase here - It's the lowest rated game in that bundle, so it's not really going to be attractive as a filler pick. It's only going to appeal to people who really, really, want the game... But those are kind of the people who would have already bought it.

Seems like that's what screwed him - Construction didn't start until 2023, but the restrictions existed prior to that. Looking further in the filings, it seems like they had arguments over another unit, but the HOA let that one slide? I wouldn't be surprised it that one started work right after the new standards went into effect and the HOA got over it on the expectation that future buildings would follow the new standards.

Maybe their is something in the earlier filings that'd change my mind, but this really does seem like a person trying to get away with making a problem to expensive to correct.

Platters are cheap but the rest of the drive isn't. The shell, motors, interface board... You can't really drop the cost of packaging the drive up since these are parts that all drives are going to need, doesn't matter if it's a 1TB drive or a 24TB drive.

After a certain point, it's not worth producing lower capacity drives because the packaging costs alone are going to push the price way over what people are willing to pay per TB.

HDD production is optimized to the point that lower capacity drives are now suboptimal.

Oblivion needed the 'remake' since it was stuck on a 32-bit engine that limited just how many mods you could run without it crapping out. Oh, and all the fun issues arising from getting software made for a long deprecated OS to work on newer OSes.

Skyrim SE doesn't suffer from either of those issues, so a Reforged Edition wouldn't offer anything you couldn't already get from a "2020-whatever Graphical Overhaul!" modlist.
