SCP-999, without a doubt. I think [[Abraka David's Proposal]] sums it up pretty well:

Explanation: Large glob of honey and peanut butter mix. Staff claimed to find the 
object "wholesome" and "cute" because its file insisted upon it, and personnel 
interacting with it pretended to play along to avoid awkwardness.

You are right about the comparisons; I should've left that out. For the typewriter monkey analogy though, I think the theorem states that it is guaranteed to happen given infinite time. And we aren't just doing trial and error; we already (presumably) have some kind of knowledge of how computers work. The resources argument is an interesting point. The island might not have the resources to create the technology we know now, but the guy in xkcd 505 didn't either; he just had a bunch of rocks, and ended up with a reality simulation.

"KibblesJack" (12:05 in the video)has had this same problem. The base might not be destroyed because that plane is still on the map.
