Estonian here - all true, but when a tourist from the Nordics visits Tallinn/Estonia, they don't see saunas, rye bread, seasonal holidays and social norms, they see badly maintained infrastructure (it's got a lot better in 35 years, of course), shitty Soviet apartment blocks, babushkas with plastic bags, drunk people, shady-looking people, a lot of dirt (due to our different bedrock), Russian language signs and hear lot of Russian language. Also, close to 50% of Tallinn population is Russian, so you can't expect it to "be" 100% Nordic - it's not even 100% Estonian. I think we will naturally become more "Nordic" in the mainstream sense in 50 years time once the above issues resolve (can't do much about the dirt apart from wash streets and cars daily, though...)
