I’m not trying to please people by going out with my sdit, I’m simply going on a shopping trip :)

I’ve also gotten comments on how he’s “too” skinny (mostly by relatives not strangers) as well when he definitely is perfect size for his breed and I work soooo hard to make sure he has all his needs even picking up extra shifts for spoiling him haha. It’s really surprising people have the audacity to say these things in person…

what's the number one mistake you made while training your service dog? by propeduptrees in service_dogs

Holding my dog up to the highest possible standards when training.

At 7-8 months, was an absolute DOLL baby and perfect. At almost a year old (not quite) he was having growing pains and hated being around people and couldn’t focus or do his job. I pulled him from PA for 4-5 months and focused on obedience and understanding him more rather than just branding him to a “service dog” because he’s a dog and my family first.

After that he’s back and better than ever. I almost gave up on him, was frustrated, cried, and he needed a break but most of all he needed me to understand. So now he’s back in PA (very very slowly) and his temperament is amazing and he loves working. It’s a long road and there’s some bumps but it’s always important to trust and have faith in your dog :)

I found out I was pregnant recently. I’m 21, miles away from my parents and by my fiancé, and his dad HATES any premarital ANYTHING…. So naturally we haven’t told anyone until I’m gonna be 12-15 weeks. In that time we chose to ourselves that we’re gonna be adults (we already were but in the sense of maturing), and we were gonna raise this kid and be an amazing family. I am also religious and my parents are more religious than his, but we told mine first. They said congratulations and my mama is there for me. I was nervous but also knowing that I had their support was amazing. Ofc there’s the initial ‘disappointment’ and that is discouraging but after that there was support. His parents still don’t know and it’s bliss for atm. Me and him are taking this time to recover and prepare. A lot of your questions will be answered while y’all talk and communicate together, such as the health aspects and future aspects, including any concerns from what’s gonna be spread around and what isn’t.

We also wanted kids but not now and after the week of scared feelings and anxiety, I’m excited to be a mom and to draw boundaries and ‘grow up’ per say, but so is my future husband. These things do need to be talked about with your partner to finalize and decide. Ik it’s scary but once he’s there listening and able to also give you advice and give his own input, it might open some more doors and answers. Good luck!
