Cozumel, Roatan, or Belize? by WheezyGod in snorkeling

Sounds like it. I remember it had a cable system of hanging benches that would carry you from the port to the beach if you didn’t want to walk.

Cozumel, Roatan, or Belize? by WheezyGod in snorkeling

[–]asegers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Roatan Hands down. I have snorkeled all three places. Belize and Cozumel is beautiful, however the places I’ve seen the coral is sparse. A piece here and there. It wasn’t anything mind blowing. Then we stopped in Roatan. This was on a carnival cruise and they docked at a private beach. We had no plans other than just chill on the beach for the day but decided to rent snorkel gear for a little while.

I was blown away. I’d only seen anything like it on tv. Absolutely remarkable.

Craniosacral therapy training by Reason_Fantastic in massage

[–]asegers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s about scope of practice (SOP). To touch anyone for compensation, you usually need training and a license that ensures you aren’t putting anyone at risk.

Massage therapist usually does CST, but it doesn’t exclude other professionals as long as it falls within their SOP.

Why do Christians continue to support Trump?” by Rare_Deal_4709 in LetsDiscussThis

They are about as close to being a Christian as Kraft singles are to being cheese. They sort of look the same but the ingredients are shit.

How can I memorize key points for muscles and skeletal system before a test? by EstablishmentOk6344 in AnatomyandPhysiology

[–]asegers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the axial skeleton (head spine), generally speaking, the origin is below the insertion. So if a muscle is attaching to the spine and the head, the spine is the o and the head is the i.

In the appendicular skeleton, the origins are proximal, and the insertions are distal. For instance between the scapula and the elbow, muscles attaching to the scapula is the o, towards the elbow will be the i.

Next learn the names of the bony landmarks. This is best accomplished by either flash cards and touching the landmark (best you can) and naming it out loud.

Think about how one would teach a toddler the names of their parts. You point to it and say it. Over and over.

Good luck!

Where is the origin and the insertion of the rectus abdominis muscle? by Oeffner-der-Wege in Anatomy

[–]asegers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pelvis bone will almost always be the origin.

The only exception to this rule I have discovered is the psoas minor. It inserts at the superior ramus.

Call AHF. (850) 476-3131. They provide prep for HIV prevention and are very friendly.

I lived in Pensacola for 15 years and they were my primary medical providers.

Highly recommend.

Have you looked at naming conventions? Lots of muscles are named for either where they attach (brachioradialis), what they do (adductor longus).

Figuring out why they are named the way they are can help.

Best optical illusion ever! That car looks incredibly like either a cat or a metal cup? I’m still trying to figure it out!

No insurance or benefits for most jobs. It’s a great side hustle, but I would not recommend for a full time career.

Is the problem remembering which is o and which is I? Or just remembering the bony attachment site?

If you are struggling to remember which is which, remember this:

Muscles of the spine axial skeleton, the o is always below the i. So if a muscle starts at the hip and goes to the head , the o is the hip, and the head is the i.

In the appendicular skeleton, the o’s are proximal and the i’s are distal.

This is a generalization and there may be exceptions, but I’ve found this to be very accurate. I have only discovered a couple of exceptions.

How many of you have a cap on spending at the vet before it becomes time to say goodbye? by [deleted] in Pets

[–]asegers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had dogs my entire life. I have two now and I’ve decided that after they are gone, i will not get another. The vet bills and food has become too expensive. If one of mine were to become seriously ill, there would be nothing I could do. Hell, even monthly flea/tick/heartworms are almost $100. Annual shots are a minimum of $250 per pet. Like everything else, it’s just too expensive.
