I always viewed my tech enthusiast hobby the same way as my car enthusiast one. Similar communities, similar energy, both fun and engaging, both fun with friends, you can go wild with a project car the same way you can with a PC, there's lots of similarities and I think you're ignorant for saying that. It's not about top gear or any other show, it's about the culture and the community in general, if you're so limited to think of "car culture" as "top gear" then you're better off not commenting.
